Amazon just sent me an email. I should be getting my sticks come the 11th of March.
Just got the same email regarding the Kai.

I believe they do, and there are also several third-party inserts that you can get and install into your Sanwas/Horis/Seimitsus.Do both Sanwa and Hori offer silent sticks and buttons? Tried a friend's setup and the mushyness was throwing me off. Trying to figure out which he had.

Sanwa is the only one that sells silent parts. If it wasn't a hori stick, then it was sanwa parts.
I wonder if Hori will ever release a "Sanwa" edition of their sticks after the switch to Kuro and Hyabusa.
Thanks guys! So Hori does make silent parts for their own sticks?

Yep. Here's a video comparing the standard HRAP4 to the Midnight Blue silent
wow...the stick is a lot quieter. buttons not so much.
So I actually broke down and ended going back to the shop to buy the kai. Stick is a huge improvement. It's heavier, better compartment, has a touch pad and has some rubber felt at the bottom that makes it easier to hold on your lap.
Niiice! So jealous. how much did that set you back?Just picked up this Beauty from the owner of Super Arcade in Walnut, Ca. Needs new buttons and stick (Mike gave me a new set of buttons), otherwise its pretty clean.
I had one for a while and loved it. Looks and feels good. The interior is wonderful. Also looks fantastic with the art removed.Oh. What a great thread to pop up. I have been meaning to ask around, is razer atrox for 360 a good arcade stick? It is the only I can find around my area.
nice. more impressions please. i'm still pondering.

Got an Amazon mail and my Kai 4 will arrive tomorrow![]()
Thanks, I put that on in a room without any context and they looked creeped out too.Yep. Here's a video comparing the standard HRAP4 to the Midnight Blue silent version:

That's a relief. My Kai's on the way but I've been hesitant only due to having used the original RAPs which felt shaky and light. Wider cord slot looks like a nice improvement too.Compared to the original HRAP4, it definitely feels sturdier. They're roughly the same size - the kai is slightly shorter. I took some pics which I've linked it below. Sorry for the crappy pics... They were quick and dirty but I think they'll show the comparisons better. Overall, I think the HRAP4 gets a 7/10, while the Kai gets a solid 9/10.
Did it go into shipping soon in your order status or already shipped? When did you place your order. Just curious.
Aww, does this mean that super arcade is going out of business for sure? They were MIA for a while.
Ordered on February 14 and shipped yesterday. Is on its way.

What part of the country are you in if you don't mind? Perhaps the warehouse closest to you got it first.
Around El Centro, CA. Yes it arrived quickly at a CA facility.

Nice to hear that the Kai is heavier. One of the most common complaints I hear about the V3/V4 HRAPs is their relatively light weight.
It's still lighter than the TEs but I think they got the right weight this time. Of course this is just my opinion.
It's so nice but $80...

And in the end the VLX lasted longer than the week they originally expected, oh well, good for everyone I guess. Hopefully some people can still jump in.
Anyway I was watching some videos with Kuro buttons and they sound awful. Are there actual negatives for going for silent Sanwa buttons? They are just the 8 OBSFS-30 and a single OBSFS-24 right?
Personally, I ordered 8 black OBSF-30s from akishop.jp as well as 8 GamerFinger HBFS-30-G2s. I'll decide which I like more when they come in and order a second set. I don't recommend the silent versions if you are picky about how they feel. That said, the OBSFS-30s are probably still better than the Kuros.
I haven't bothered ordering a replacement for the 24mm start button because I figure, how often am I going to use it? If it bugs me, I'll order replacements.
