V4 Kai showed up finally. Hori needs to not just throw the box into another, bigger box without packing the thing somehow. Came in all banged up. Thankfully so far the stick itself seems fine.
Hayabusa is a Hayabusa. I don't have to shell out for another lever to swap out a JLF because it came stock. I love it.
I like the new case design. It's cleaner looking, is more or less the same mold as my V3 Kai and they improved the door so those assholes who bitch about the ones on previous Hori sticks can stop it. This door is sturdy and elegant. The compartment feels like it has more room, too. The cable is about 10ft long and I have no issues reaching my PS4 with it comfortably.
And now the part I was waiting to see about: Kuro
Granted, I've only spent 15 or 20 minutes in DOA5LR testing things out, but they feel like slightly less responsive Sanwas (which is a good thing IMO). They definitely have a bit of a squeak to them right now and hopefully will wear in. They do feel a bit mushy but so do unused Seimitsus. Time will tell if I keep them in here or swap them for PS-14GN.
Overall it feels nice, it's the best stock stick (for me) that I've ever bought (IMO) since it comes preloaded with a Hayabusa and has a form factor I prefer over the Mad Catz lines (I say this owning 2 round 2 TEs and a V3 Kai). The price is certainly right and if I end up needing a second for local multiplayer with friends and/or the wife I'll definitely get one.
I do wish everyone would stop with the 8 face buttons, though. I hate that shit so much.
