Thanks for sharing! I really love what you've done!

Just finished this up tonight, just before the Beta drops. Feels good. :)

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

Check your PM inbox, Markman. I messaged you during EVO about having my plexi replaced as it shipped to me all scuffed up way back in January. I emailed you back then, as per your request, but I never got a reply. I recently re-emailed you about it and sent a PM on GAF as well.

I'm sure you're busy and my messages are getting lost in the shuffle, but since you told me back in January that you'd be able to send me a replacement plexi I feel the need to keep trying to contact you.

Thinking of picking up the HORI Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai for the PS4 and I've noticed that it doesn't have a mic slot.
Anyone know if I can just use my mic plugged into a DS4 while using the stick?

If you got a USB mic it is fine, but plugging into a DS4 is awkward if want to chat with randoms, need sign in as a second profile (P2) on many games which means when P1 plays a game, P2 mic does not work. For party chats it is fine though, just need a DS4 sitting nearby to you.

I've not got USFIV on PS4 so no idea if it requires a second profile sign-in, and how that is handled regardng chatting when playing as P1.

Yeah, adding my Thanks too ! Thank you dude!

I will say it has been a long time since the first TE came out that MAD CATZ has been constantly improving the way the arcade sticks have been made over the last 8 years.

It's insane to think about how much you guys have improved the quality of your products to the simplification of customization for both beginners and advanced modders.

-adding a quick to open case
-easy art implementation
-custom sides,bezels, and dust covers
-easy to add LED PCB plug in. (god send)

the list goes on.....keep pushing this mentality and it is only going to get better. :)

Thanks Mark!

I've been a bit out of the loop the last yea, but thanks to all the EVO excitement and SFV coming out soon I'm thinking I might get a new stick. Should I just go ahead and get the TE2 or should I wait for Eightarc to announce their new stuff? My current stick is a Qanba Q4, but I really want to customize a second one.

I say get the Hori RAP4 Kai, since it's one of the only sticks right now that has a touchpad. I own one and think it's pretty good (though I'm still pretty much a scrub when it comes to fighting games and sticks). I want a second stick, but I'm going to wait until the next wave of Mad Catz sticks comes out in the hopes that they add a touchpad before I bite.

Though I guess if customization beyond the stick/buttons is what you want, then you should probably just stick with the TE2.

I thought about the Hori, but I really want to go a bit nuts with the customization. I kind of wussed out on my last stick and only did a faceplate swap. I think that's why I'm finding the TE2 so appealing right now. I'm feeling a bit torn, haha.

Incase anyone finds it interesting, this is the faceplate design I did for the Q4. I wanted something a little different.

I only plan on using the stick to play online with friends and randoms while talking in a party. I have no problem with just having the DS4 next to me while using the default mic. Do I still need to have a second profile signed in?

I'm planning an EVO 2016 trip next year (to make up for me getting screwed out of this year due to summer college classes). Anyone know where I can get an affordable 360 stick for Mahvel (I'm looking into either modding my Eightarc Onyx with PS4 support, buying a TE2, or hoping that SFV supports PS3 sticks)? I'm hoping for either Sanwa parts or it being easy to mod so I can add Sanwa parts.

Dont play many fighting games other than dabbling in killer instinct. My love of the feel of arcade machines and my love of mechanical keyboards gives me the desire to buy a fighting stick for little reason. Hopefully buying a good hotas will scratch the same itch

If you want a new stick: MS store does a lot of sales on the MLG TEs. They are uggo but work fine. If you want a used stick: Cragislist, SRK trading board, or the B/S/T thread here are good options.

Another idea for a really cheap stick is to get a PS2 stick used (like a Mayflash or something) and one of those etokki 360 converters. That'd be like $60. But you'd need to replace the stick/buttons in it.

A third option I just thought of: a 360 SE stick (like the WWE one) can be found very cheap. Just swap out the stick/buttons with some Sanwas and you're good.

Just did the math. I found a TE S+ for the 360 at $150. Assuming that I also pick up a PS4/PS3 TE2 for my SFV needs as well, that'll set me back $380. The hotel (assuming EVO is held at the same place as it was this year) will be $600 ($300 once I split the price with my friend). And there's also $80 for the entry fee (& I'm assuming $20 per game).

fwiw there's a 360 SE with sanwa parts in the b/s/t thread for $80, which would work fine. unless you're set on a larger stick.

also EVO is only $10 a game but the venue fee is usually $50-70. and it probably won't be in the same hotel, but who knows, heh.

I asked the same question elsewhere, and got recommended this.

Lets you use a standard 3.5mm set of mic/audio as a USB Headset.

Haven't got mine yet though, so I can't say with experience how well it works.

I'm really hacked off with the current stick situation. I have a custom with a 360 PCB but have now moved over to PS4/PC and there doesn't seem to be any easy/cheap way to get a PS4 pcb in the stick.

I could just buy SFV on the PC; I guess with cross-platform play it'll be fairly indistinguishable from the PS4 release (I've always avoided playing FGs on the PC). I really dislike the blue of the PS4 TE2 and £170 seems really poor value. I wish I could just buy the PCB.

Buy a hori fight commander pad and use that pcb.

Any more 360 TE2 sticks coming soon??

We should have some USF4 ones going back in stock soon (unsold stock from EVO).

Also, if I had a PS4 TE2 stick, could I swap the PCB from an Xbox TE2? Any issues?

You can do it but it's not a 1:1 transfer due to the different top control panels.

Marky, any update on a possible date for the PS4 TE S+?

We have not confirmed a TE S+ is coming out on PS4 yet.

That's the way to go, keep emailing me if you have to - I've been out of the office a lot lately and stuff gets lost. I'll search for the email again and forward it to the support team - thanks.

Bought the Venom PS4 stick and have swapped the buttons and got the joystick on the way.

Stupid Question: Can I screw in the joystick the wrong way round? Pressing the stick up will make the character crouch etc, is there an obvious up arrow or something to give an indication?

If you are plugging in a joystick harness, just flip it upside down, replug it in, and all should be well.

Alright, thanks. I'll send the email one more time today to make it easier to find.

After reading this latency test for controllers I'm kinda shocked how bad the situation is.
If you want a native PS4 stick the best option is to take appart PCB of a Guilty Gear fight pad (which was limited edition only?). The second best alternative would be a old Hori RAPv4 or a MadCatz TE2 while the new Hori sticks are apparently horrible.

Personally I'm fine with everything below half a frame, but come on 4+ ms to transmit an on/off state over wire, wtf are you doing?

So I've been out of the game for a hot minute. I had a 360 and got a SFIV TE Round 2 (love the stick). I've since made the jump to PS4 and that's where I intend to stay going forward.

What are my options, can I do anything to make my 360 stick work on PS4? (Would I have to mod it for PS3) then hope that devs use the PS3 to PS4 driver patch thingy?

OR - just sell my TE round 2 and buy a new PS4 stick?

I'm not into modding. I want it to be comfortable on my lap and would like to play Killer Instinct on PC (if that's possible).

Any ideas?

What is so great about the TE S+? I thought with TE2 out that would be the superior product.

People like its size/form factor better than the TE2 or other sticks. It's not so black and white as 'better product' since people like and want different things in their sticks.
