You GUYS. I just realized. Dixie Kong cannot or at least would not be revealed in a CGI trailer without Diddy Kong in it. So that's why it'll be a double whammy Veteran/Newcomer reveal!

Didn't Sakurai toy with the idea of Diddy and Dixie being dual characters at one point? So long as I could switch them ala Sheik and Zelda I wouldn't mind so much. Hell, make a triple character and throw in Cranky.

Yeah that's why I feel that Sakurai might have returned to this idea.
I mean its not BAD, but Diddy is already established on his own, so give Dixie her own importance, I say.
Yeah, in an old issue of Famitsu he said Diddy and Dixie were originally intended to be tag team characters, but he scrapped the idea after running into technical issues.
I imagine it being a down-b move where they go inside a barrel and the other character pops out.

I don't want them to be a tag-team, but the possibility of Diddy/Dixie seems to get higher since a Diddy solo reveal is a waste and a Dixie reveal before Diddy wouldn't happen... unless we both separate... or another reveal entirely... my head hurts.
