Something called "Punch Sistah" is a playable character

Since Smash Bros. is on 3DS too I doubt many people are gonna run out to buy the Wii U version if they don't have a Wii U already.

Would be really awesome if they got Smash Bros. out by June but I see them saving it for Christmas unless they have some guaranteed sure-fire hit for Christmas.

Since Smash Bros. is on 3DS too I doubt many people are gonna run out to buy the Wii U version if they don't have a Wii U already.

They will if they release the Wii U version first. And, even if they did release them simultaneously, most people would probably just assume that the 3DS version is a watered down port of the Wii U version.

I really think this diddy+dixie team thing is so unlikely, he was originally gonna use the idea in brawl sure but he already gave diddy his own moveset and everything and I dont think he would go through the trouble of doing this only to change it dramatically this time, its super unlikely this would even happen, maybe something special would happen if you use dixie and diddy individually in a team battle but I very much doubt some tag team thing is even in sakurai's mind right now.

Well, yeah, considering how many veterans of equal importance to Diddy Kong have been revealed on the site without fanfare, like Zelda, Marth, and Dedede. What makes Diddy so special as to deserve being revealed through a Nintendo Direct? It just doesn't make sense -- even though I'm sort of expecting it to happen anyway. Luigi's ND reveal made some sense considering he's one of Nintendo's most popular characters and it was the Year of Luigi.
