I remember Phoenix Wright wasn't in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom because they said "but the word OBJECTION! is a different size in Japanese so it would be impossible to balance!" and then they put him in UMvC3.

I'm a huge MH fan and it doesn't make sense for MH to be in Smash at all.
1) Artstyle would clash greatly.
2) MonHun doesn't have a "singular" character that you can just point towards to be in the game
3) Mega Man (who arguably makes more sense) is already in for Capcom
And the roster is also definitely not stale.

Toon Link does bring new styles of levels though, what does Wolf even bring? More Landmaster lol

OK I lose this one, though I do think fewer clones is better. I was pretty surprised to see Toon Link returning, but maybe it's because of WW HD being on Wii U.

There's always the chance that Diddy Kong gets unveiled via Sakurai's regular updates and we get a Nintendo Direct shortly after with yet another character revealed. It happened with Toon Link and Sonic, so there's precedent.
The thing is, I don't see Nintendo broadcasting a Direct -after- DK's been released on Japan. I wouldn't be surprised if they want to give it one final push before it's out. Five days passed between Toon Link and Sonic's reveals, if a Direct's indeed scheduled before the 13th, it'd be way too soon for anything...
...Not to mention, we did just get Lucario, we'd be spoiled as hell.

Because Solid Snake's art style fits completely with Nintendo characters, right. Art styles clash even when comparing Nintendo characters, like Samus and Kirby.
I don't think a MonHun will be in Smash, but it could fit perfectly should Sakurai want.

Since we got character revealed in each bimonthly direct(Luigi, Sonic, Rosalina).So I'm also on the train that we'll see a Nintendo Direct before 13th, which revealed Diddy Kong with Screenshot Slideshow like the Luigi reveal.
It's kind of painful that you know a Direct's gonna happen this month but don't know when. All I want is more information about X. :|
If you played Brawl, you would notice he fit in nicely. Toon Link got extremely butchered when they tried to get him to fit and the colors got washed out or were dark.
I do see that point for Smash 4, but Snake is an established character, so I would rather not see him cut.

Ugh, thinking of those possibilities hurts, Joanna Dark in smash with a farsight that can shoot through stage obstacles/hazards. Conker would've been so awesome! And obligatory "I miss banjo and kazooie"
Since Falco prefers the air, you'd think he'd be given an Arwing that'd fly over the stage 3 or so times shooting lasers and dropping smart bombs for variaty

Yes, I've played Brawl and he fitted because of the art style of the game (which will be far different in SSB4).
I never said I want him to be cut, I said a MonHun character would fit in the game, better than Snake even. The armor posted in the past page isn't the more fitting, though.
Edit: I think something like Nibelsnarf armor would fit better than the Rathalos' one.

Whoever says Wolf is a clone is clueless. Yeah, his B-moves are similar to those of Fox and Falco, but they have different properties, and iirc his A-moves are completely different.
Well, I guess I should boot up Brawl today and play him again.
I would really love Banjo and Conker being playable. One can dream.
edit: Though Conker would bump the game up to M with his drinking, peeing, vomiting and swearing.

Nibelsnarf is probably the most ridiculous name for an armor set I've ever heard. And I've played Diablo 2 before.
Each and every of his A-moves is different. I made a move-by-move comparison with Fox in OT4 and came to the conclusion that only 2 moves have a very slight similarity in both being a kick (I think). That's it tho.

I would say any of three Kalos starters are perfect fits for Smash Bros. And being on Smash Bros would make any of them iconic with a little time.
That said, I'd like to have another legendary in the roster, if Pokémon is getting a new rep. Genesect maybe.

I wasn't hating on Chesnaught. I think it is cool, just not as cool as the other two starters.
Preferably I would like the three starters to be in the game, with a new Pokémon trainer (Serena) in the background. Something like Serena + Greninja, Braixen, Chespin.

Problem is that is just a random armor set. Rathalos' armor set is the most iconic in the MH series. Then there is the whole issue of MH series having many weapons used by hunters.
I think this was the reasoning for the producer not wanting MH to be a part of MvC3.

I think she definitely will be in the game. Sakurai's reveals for the most part are random outside of a character that gets revealed randomly.
Sakurai showed the male Wii Fit Trainer randomly and we still don't know anything about it lol.
