I was completely serious about gender bends because those would be interesting. Same with Milla from Tales and a Cat Suit and Double Cherry item from Super Mario 3D World.

Well it's a bit difficult to discern the looks of pixely sprites between NES and Game Boy. Granted, their concept art was similar, but they already had differentiated them by facial structure (Daisy always had a rounder face than Peach), dress patterns and accessories:
In Daisy's next appearance, NES Open Tournament Golf, Daisy was the caddie for Luigi (Peach was Mario's):
After that she didn't reappear until Mario Tennis 64 (which also is the game Waluigi was introduced in), and since then got heavily differentiated from Peach, taking the role of a tomboy, a different voice, etc., which lead us to the current Daisy as we know her.
And to be fair, Luigi started out as nothing more but a recolor for Mario, either.
Awesome, I didn't know that was Ridley's alternate name in this game

Pic of the day. A bored-looking dog staring at the TV… Occasionally, the Super Smash Bros. series really makes me confused about what I'm creating.
Toon Link did a series of F-airs with a bomb in hand and finished him off with a bomb and an immediate spike which is pretty satisfying.
Pit was just doing the standard Jigglypuff Wall of Pain and Armada, aka the Swedish Sniper, is fucking amazing at it.
The toon link was dropping the bomb and picking it up while attacking. The bomb then exploded as he did his down air at the end... I think.
You saw the post-Palutena miiverse posts, right? Sakurai is a master troll, ruining your sleep schedule is low on his priorities right now
Meh, at least it's not a Wii U shot I guess
