When you kill a character they can't learn, shadow actually learned how to be a better person. And changed over time.

Something most sonic characters, including sonic himself fail to do miserably. They fall into archetypes , shadow actually changed his feelings on things.

Shadow's entire redemption arc was in SA2, and he had basically finished his development just before he died. All he really did in Heroes and his own game was angst a lot because he didn't know if he was a clone/robot or not.

editon't get me wrong I was one of his fans as a kid too. Seeing him back in heros was cool but looking back the way they treated the character post SA2 was pretty terrible.

I don't agree, he had to learn to deal with people and leave the past where it is. Amnesiac or not, he didn't get to take the martyr ( why the shit is it spelled like that ) way out he had to deal with the shit things he did in Sa2, then he became this figure to look up to for a lot of the cast . To the point where he was our jesus lord and savoir that saved us from sonic 06 lasting any longer than it did, by doing the plot thing. And in the psp games having this weird and interesting dynamic with silver and metal sonic. Which became a very interesting thing in the comics , being the most interesting anything did with metal sonic, since metal sonic.

Eh I think the reason Sonic's friends are so despised is because of the tons of cut scenes and the characterization not being fun to play with. I think DK and friends avoided that part. Although after DK64, I was afraid they were starting to go that route.

Thanks for compiling all those, dispite what the haters say, I actually really like seeing pictures of all of the different moves when a character is revealed. It's fun to see how they are being tweaked (even when some tweaks are purely cosmetic)

All the Melee target test records are pretty amazing (probably 64's too, idk). I remember having my mind blown when I saw Link's done in a few seconds, not long after the game came out. Having them tailored per character is a lot more fun, I think.
