I'm keeping my expectations in check until/unless it's confirmed for Japan... but man, a Dixie Kong reveal would make my life right now. Even if it's tag-team. And even if it's NA only I think odds are high we'll be getting Diddy so there's no real disappointment there! Tomorrow should be aces.

Mannnn, I loved the 3D classics, but Nintendo said that no more were going to happen. I'm sure this rumor is fake, but I like the way they're thinking at least.

I'll tell you what, though: In my fanboy fantasy lists going forward, the following items will appear:

- 3D Classics Murasame Castle
- Paper Mario with Yoshi and marker-based coloring book mechanic
- Yoshi with Baby Mario in Smash Bros.
- The return of the DKC trilogy to the WiiU Virtual Console

I seriously dig all of those ideas.

• Pic of the Day Fake-Out + Casual Diddy announcement on the Direct
• Pic of the Day Fake-Out + Newcomer Announcement (Dixie or Diddy+Dixie)
• Pic of the Day Fake-Out + Newcomer Announcement (Non-DK related)
• Normal Pic of the Day Veteran Reveal with no Smash news whatsoever on Direct.

I really hope that we are getting two characters from a Direct. Diddy and a newcomer that would cause a fake out.

It could be those following events

1.Diddy reveal.

4. Dixie Reveal
5. Diddy reveal along with fake-out character reveal
6. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

But I want to emphasis that we shouldn't hype until we get NCL announcement first.

I don't know if they'll do Diddy + Newcomer. Diddy also seems kind of unimportant to feature in the Direct. All things considered, he's no Sonic or Luigi.

I kind of just picture them doing some trailer a few weeks before release to round up all the misc Brawl newcomers that wouldn't need their own updates because they're obviously returning (Metaknight, Wario, Diddy, ROB, ZSS, etc).

Iwata during the Nintendo Direct: “Yesterday, Mr. Sakurai announced Diddy Kong as a playable character in the new Super Smash Bros. Please take a look.”

The video opens with gameplay footage of Diddy Kong. 15 seconds pass, and then Dixie Kong flies into view and knocks Diddy off the stage. “Dixie Kong twirls into battle!” Cue Dixie Kong gameplay footage.

This is what I hope for.

According to my Japanese animes, on February 14, girls give chocolate to the boys they like as well as "obligation chocolates" to their male coworkers and friends. Correct. It's never explicitly mentioned it's from goldeneye, so at this point i believe it's considered a smash bros item. So I imagine it looking like the front of the ray gun, with red parts coming off it.
