Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U Thread 5: Yarning for Yoshi

What if there's a surprise Direct today and Serebii Joe is the next newcomer?

what incentive
the amount of people that would pick up a Wii U for smash is not nearly as high as you think

And how high do you think that I think it is?

My point is Smash is one of the few shots the Wii U has had not being a colossal failure, and not having Smash be exclusive to it is not doing it any favors. There's no reason that both need to be developed simultaneously.

I don't buy him forgetting. He's posted one every day for months. When you have something like that every single work day, you don't just forget. Especially if you're Sakurai.

sakurai ran out of ideas for "nothing" pics so he gave up and let you all suffer

then what you think is too high
you really think doing that would make up for lost 3DS sales?

As I said, there's no reason for them to be developed simultaneously. They wouldn't be lost, just deferred.

And I'm not entirely convinced handheld Smash will do nearly as well as you think it will. It's a game, more than most, that's built for the living room.

deferring the 3DS version would obviously hurt its sales, yes
and if the 3DS version doesn't do well, then really they're even more screwed

Sakurai knows there's a really good pun to be made with today's comment, but just can't get the right words out.

Pic of the day. Now consecutive standard attacks will always transition into a finishing move. This is Fox's finishing kick after his standard combo attack.
