People should actually be concerned about characters where there is some kind of route Sakurai can take with them other than playable. He obviously doesn't give a fuck what a fanbase of a character thinks, he can cut characters he can not add characters as playable and people will buy the games anyway. There is no real threat from not listening 100% to demands. Thats why its annoying when people are like "he can't cut x character!" Or "there is no way he'll make ridley a stage hazzard."

Not if you count original, X, and Legends no. Thats 3 highly praised series, with only like 1 game being a miss in the classic series and 2 being a miss in X series. The last MM games actually were reported to meet Capcom's expectations sales wise.

I also think it's funny how many people think Sakurai is distinctly aware of what the Western fan base wants. I'm sure he has a fairly good idea of what we want in general, vague terms, but when we say things like "He's toying with us because he knows we're talking about Ridley's size!" we're only fooling ourselves.
