Smash 64 introduced 4 Mario/derivative characters: Mario, Luigi, DK and Yoshi. Melee introduced 3 Mario/derivative characters: Dr. Mario, Peach, Bowser. Brawl introduced 2 Mario/derivative characters: Diddy and Wario.

Notice a pattern? We've already been introduced to Rosalina.

Sakurai made a veiled allusion to Ridley, but he didn't show him immediately. He didn't mercilessly crush fans' dreams, like in this and other instances. Think about what it means.

No, that's a made up pattern. Diddy has no affiliation with Mario whatsoever, unlike DK.

Toad Bros. from New Super Mario Bros. Wii/U

Two is better than one. The regular red one is in Peach's pocket, but they come in as almost the same character. Making them two, just like the Ice Climbers, obscures the plainness of their design.

They can use a lot of power ups from their games, which neither Mario nor Luigi have as moves in Smash. We have Rosalina to represent the 3D games, so why not them for the 2D ones, which are even more popular?

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. What do you think? Had someone already thought of this?

As side note, I add an almost obvious Super Leaf as a new object, which will give Ridley e fancy raccoon tail.

I don't understand this post. Factually it is completely wrong. It should be a requirenment to play every Nintendo franchise before discussing Smash.

What? Are you saying Miis and Waluigi are really close in terms of "casual exposure", which I assume means broader exposure. I highly doubt that.

You know, every time I've ever seen you post, you've either been shitting on someone else's opinion because it doesn't meet the passing score on your self-created barometer for what a game you have no say in should contain, decried "dem whippersnappers" for liking things or wishing for things that they might be more predisposed to since Nintendo as a whole has been doing this for 30 years or more now, downplayed the factual relevance of something because of the previous two observations I've made, or you're just flat out being condescending as fuck talking about how "x should be a prerequisite before you talk about this, you group of plebians."

Now here's the question I have to ask you. What could someone else's earnest excitement and anticipation have done to you that you need to come off so abrasive every single time something like this happens?

For the record, while I didn't support half the things talked about thus far and know that I have a fairly ecclectic mix of things I'd like to see in Smash myself, I enjoy entertaining all of the "stupid" that comes with the lead into a new entry because I fucking love Smash as a whole. Smash isn't just the game btw. It's a great and very unique game, a Hall of [everything] Nintendo and a time capsule that allows everyone to get an idea of what is most prominent at the moment of its release both within the fan base and from the developers themselves. As such, even if it were nothing but tent pole franchises and current flings filling any of the rosters up from this point forward, I'd still be excited because there's that many chances for me to either fall in love with something new, stick to something tried and true or just admire the amount of contained Nintendo these games have going for themselves.

The model looks nice though.

The other 3 characters I'm hoping for are Ridley, Shulk and a Ray series robo.

While most of this is sarcasm (if you honestly believe I earnestly desire that someone should play every franchise I don't know what to say), some of the stuff I read really does sound ignorant and could be remedied with a basic google search or 5 minutes of a youtube let's play, particularly the K.Rool is more important in his series than Dedede in Kirby. It is factual incorrect and the only reason someone would say it is because of lack of knowledge based on laziness which I don't approve of. These two particular comments I made have no reflection of how I feel about the characters but just the comments themselves. I don't mind Mii in and I don't mind Waluigi in, I don't mind K. Rool in, would I main any of them? No, but I'm mainly just commenting on things said that I think are exceptionally foolish. The casuals will see and recognize Waluigi because he is in most of the modern Mario multiplayer games. There really is barely any difference in appeal to causal players. People would probably pick him because he looks so ugly and wacky like they would pick Mii because they want to be Reggie or some crap.
