That's just a palette swap referring to Fire Rosalina. Not an alt costume.

That Mii Gunner costume is pretty awesome.

I feel hard done by simply because I first thought it was the Christmas outfit and then I actually woke up mentally and realised I was wrong. ;__;

Are we going to have to unlock all these random MII suits or can we just choose it from the start?

I guess the worst thing that can happen is that Nintendo charges you 2$ for each of the costumes.

I think it's unlock, they're the custom equipment that they showed off for Mario.
 
Another reminder that Palutena has only appeared in one pic of the day since her reveal (and it was like the day after) and it was only a picture of her in the home run contest. She has to be one of the newcomers that Sakurai has spent the least amount of time discussing after reveal.

EDIT: The "Warning Challenger Approaching" banners have finally disappeared.
 
I really like Rosalina's reverse fire flower color and Mii's snazzy suit. They look pretty good. I have a feeling that some of costumes are more likely to be unlockable contents that we have to unlock for Mii.

Maybe Sakurai is humble about Palutena since he made Kid Icarus: Uprising? Hmm, Warning Challenger Approaching is gone so new character this week or next week? :P
 
So if we assume Mii hats are based on the hats available in Streetpass Plaza which hats do you want to see? I mean this screenshot shows a hat I don't recognise (the one on the right) but the rest all seem to come from the Plaza so it's a starting point. Interestingly the cowboy hat comes from the July update (when the new Plaza games were introduced) so you can include the newer hats if you like. Also this shot shows the top hat in purple so maybe colour options for the hats are available. Top hat in the normal colours shown here (also featuring the blue suit that was shown today).

Though like the ones shown so far lets stick to the Non Nintendo hats. Also they seem to be costume based so perhaps the wacky ones like food and a Moai on your head will not be included.

My favourite in the beehive but that may be considered a wig. Otherwise the tiny top hat.
 
If Smash Bros had like crazy explicit MiiPlaza integration I... I don't know what I would do

what if you streetpass a dude and he sends over his mii and then you fight that shit? Oh crap

I feel that Peach, Dedede, Rosalina and Zelda's willingness to use their minions as meat shields; as well as Palutena's active apathy to the plight of the Centurions, is a commentary by Sakurai on the inherent toxicity of the ruling class. Super Smash Bros. is the great equaliser, a bitter piece of make-believe where effigies of the proletariat can release their frustrations on their oppressors, but are returned to being inert playthings after the fantasy is ended.

Man, imagine if Smash Bros. 4 was free to play but you could pay for hat DLC like Team Fortress 2. I don't know if it'd be the worst thing imaginable or the greatest thing ever.

Spoilers, I do know. It'd be fucking awful.
 
How about a nurse outfit for Peach? Her costume here is still a royal dress so in case Dr. Mario alt is available, a partner Nurse Peach alt (while non-canon I think) will be good.
