nevermind, someone made a KoC 4 thread on gaf ^__^
Yeah, you should post a link here for people that are interested. I might catch it later depend on what time I get home.

It would get little laggy of you get more than 2 or 3 new characters (mewtwo and Roy) or characters with alt costumes
I'm pretty sure they patched that?
Yup, they patched it. They even removed the warning signs to reflect the fact in later versions.Did they? I think I still have the original 3.0. They definitely may have.

Oh shit! I hope they patched it. I convinced my office we should move to brawl because of the new charactersDid they? I think I still have the original 3.0. They definitely may have.

I no longer post here, as some know, but I saw this new 3DS trailer and behold, at 1:06, an underwater Steel Diver stage:

Also, some bits of other new footage, until next time!

Why did you stop posting here? And it's not a Steel Diver stage, it's a trophy representing the game Steel Diver.
OK, real talk time, Customization, from both a casual and competitive perspective, is probably going to end up like Coin Mode or Special Melee/Brawl. Most people probably will just not use it most of the time, with it only being turned on once in a while when they are feeling adventurous before realizing why they leave it off and going back to playing what they normally play.

Why would you ruin a perfect white controller like that.
I'm going to customise my fighters to be real men.
Once you have enough Aura for a special attack, B+A.I was playing ProjectM and notice that Lucario lobs a huge Aura Sphere, was wondering how do you pull that off?

When his hands are glowing press A+B. All his attacks have a sort of 'EX' version.

Random thought, I was watching some direct feed footage of Smash 3DS, and I can't help but think that the "full" version of the X/Y Trainer Battle arrangement reminds me a lot of the Pokemon anime's BGM.
As much as a I loathe the anime, I do think that the guy who does the anime's BGM does a really, really good job, and there are a few bits in there that sounds like his style.
Ah, the theme from the Greninja reveal. Hopefully it appears in the WiiU version, as well. I'm getting both games, but I really want to hear that music on the Elite Four stage.Random thought, I was watching some direct feed footage of Smash 3DS, and I can't help but think that the "full" version of the X/Y Trainer Battle arrangement reminds me a lot of the Pokemon anime's BGM.

I'm about to get Project M on The Wii at my office so my coworkers and I could play. We have dumped countless hours into Melee and Brawl and there are only so many times my friend can beat everyone with Pit before I get annoyed. I heard a rumor 4 players with Project M is laggy on the wii. Is that true? Or bull shit
The white controller's triggers were made slightly differently so I find the older ones superior for Melee (they're fine for other games though).
TLDR: Johns.
We don't know, there aren't competitive rules for the new game yet.so are mii fighters banned for competitive play?
Do we know if there are default Miis though? You might have to set up a Mii in order to play as them at all. If that's the case, I can't imagine they'd be able to set it up in time.Probably default height/weight miis will be legal.
I love seeing this argument that only elitist tourney players like Melee better than Brawl. I only ever played 64/Melee casually, almost exclusively played with items and didn't even know what wavedashing was until Brawl was announced. I liked Melee far, far better. I thought I had just outgrown the series when I'd finally played Brawl, but going back and playing Melee with friends was still a blast.
It wasn't until Brawl that I preferred 1 vs. 1, no item fights because of how unfun the items had become. Adventure mode/SSE was awful. So many stages with ohko stage hazards. Overall player movement was noticeably different in a way I didn't like. Pokeballs were AWFUL ; ~ ;
Unless they don't have a base moveset, which they might notI think before auto banning Mii's we should actually play test them at their base moveset before deciding. That would be logical.

It would make sense. Sakurais official reason for having the Mii friends-only is that you need a consistent opponent to fight against. If that doesn't apply to Palutena, it's probably because she actually has a default moveset.Possible. Might be why it's friends only essentially.
I think they will & should be. Miis may have a default moveset, but there is still too many variables beyond their moveset. Even if you play with their default moveset, there are 3 different size variants that affect playstyle, which means there would essentially be 9 Miis to choose from (LB, MB, HB, LS, MS, HS, LG, MG, HG). I doubt tournament organizers would want to deal with Light Gunner Mii vs Medium Brawler Mii. Plus, the thought of a Mii winning a tournament just doesn't seem right.so are mii fighters banned for competitive play?

This is pretty much it for me. I just don't really like the idea of some guy's Mii of himself or Gary Oldman or something prevailing over the... actual characters, in that context.Plus, the thought of a Mii winning a tournament just doesn't seem right.
Stripping the Miis of what makes them Miis defeats the purpose of their inclusion. I think it would just be best to leave them out. They were created for casual play and friendly competitive play.In this sense it would be up to the competitive community to either ban Mii's entirely or come to a agreement on a unanimous competitive moveset for all 3 styles.
That would be cool too! The only reason I could see that not happening would be if getting those Miis would be too cumbersome for TO's to get on every console (like the least broken moves are randomly unlocked or something, or you have to select if each Mii is a Brawler, Gunner, or Swordfighrer). It might just be too much work for them to bother with.In this sense it would be up to the competitive community to either ban Mii's entirely or come to a agreement on a unanimous competitive moveset for all 3 styles.
