To be fair though if your character isn't Metaknight, Snake, Metaknight, Diddy "bitch" kong or metaknight they most likely do suck.
Case in point, my favorite is Samus =/
Prog's crypticness and teasing on Twitter as well as his response to D1's tweet about Nintendo sponsoring Evo makes me think there will be something. But I don't want to get my hopes up, so I'm trying not to expect anything.

Well, that's an especially-late-game spoiler :V
Personally, I'm expecting it to be a Chain Attack of some sort. No idea if you'll choose which Arts are performed, or even which two teammates randomly pop up to assist you; presumably not, because then the player could just stall on the menu and drag the fight out, which is not usually a desirable thing. Might be nifty if you were prompted to hit B a la Burst Affinity to extend the FS, possibly looping it back to Shulk who'd finish with Monado Buster or something.
My apologies, finished the game recently and during that final battle, all I could think of was
I want the other two Monados implemented in Smash Bros somehow

I wouldn't say people are overhyped. Nobody's expecting him to reveal the entire roster. I think we'd be stupid to not expect at least Captain Falcon though, maybe Shulk as well. And a few new stages? Oh and more details on the WiiU's unique modes.

- sponsor = giving money to a cause
- usually done as part of marketing budget to promote sales (in this case, obviously Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS)
So, either Nintendo believes that:
- Melee, on its own will spur sales
- or some sort of reveal/announcement/event will further drive sales above and beyond EVO itself.
My view: it's definitely the latter, because if I'm spending my marketing dollars on this (as opposed to any other type of campaign) I want to make sure I get a significant ROI.
