For those keeping score, I WAS wrong about Nintendo re-releasing competitive Gamecube controllers, and I would have been wrong when I said they'd never reveal a character at EVO, which is looking somewhat more likely.
Apparently I underestimate how much Nintendo cares about competitive Smash.

So, I've recently become a supporter of Bandana Dee as a newcomer!
He's become a major character in the Kirby series and would complete the playable quartet, while also adding a unique spear and parasol-based moveset. I think he would be a fun and interesting character to have, not to mention he's quite deserving of a roster spot.

Waddle Dee and Toad are those two characters that once people sell themselves on they are supporters for life, but everyone else thinks they're generic "player four" avatars that lack any sort of distinction as legitimate characters. Whenever the debate starts it's like their supporters see one image and their detractors see another entirely. People still spontaneously switch sides for their own reasons, but everyone's reasons on each side seem so implicite and built in.
