oh good god no not the 'yeahs'

Ahaha, this just showed up in my Instagram feed:

People are LOSING THEIR SHIT in the comments about an early release and people already having the game.

Oh, Internet. Never change!

Colors look a bit too dull and desaturated. The black border at the top looks sloppy. Would have been more believable if the guy used a better printer.

So, I'm really hoping we get a new Wind Waker with Toon Link returning. Assuming we do, what would you guys want to see make it in. Dragoon Roost Island seems like the obvious choice (if only for the music), and I'd be totally cool with that. But, if they don't mind spoiling the end of the game,
Drowning Hyrule would be so freaking epic. And, no, I don't want Ganondorf a stage boss hazard!
I'd also happily take Molgera's Lair.

I'm actually going to play The Last Story next as soon as I find a copy.

I'm impressed by how much better Wii U's Wii BC image quality is (playing Xenoblade now) so I figure I'll hunt down some JRPGs I never really dug deep in to.

Just don't go in comparing it to Xenoblade, just let it be it's own thing and you'll love it. Oh and there is a hidden "point of no return", before you become a knight (you'll know what I'm talking about when you get there) turn around and run out of the castle and do all the side-quest stuff you wanted to do. After that point it's non-stop story chapters.

Also prank bananas are the best!

I know that isn't real and all but I would like to mention how ugly the "playable in 2D and 3D" thing is, looks awful on every box.

My heart skipped a beat though.

I remember with Pokemon X about two weeks before release a random pictured popped up of someone with the case...we all thought it was just a joke too, till the pictures started coming in.

If we're talking about fake boxarts, let me just say:
Man, those boxarts are good.

Honestly, I'm not very impressed by them. They're not ugly, but I think even Brawl had a better boxart (particularly in Japan, because bleugh dark background).

It's actually got me reconsidering going physical for both, since the box doesn't look like anything I'll be particularly interested in holding onto and it's going to be a lot like Animal Crossing where it's a game I'll want to have around more often than not.

That hand-holding-box image is clearly not Photoshopped, I'm not sure why you guys keep saying it is.

He clearly printed out an image, cut it out and stuck it in his 3DS cover, and then took a genuine, unaltered photo of his handiwork. No Photoshop on the photo involved! (Maybe Photoshop to print out the cover, but even that's unlikely.)

He did shop an ESRB rating onto it before printing, but it's the wrong one anyway.

So while we're on the topic of characters not being in the game, which guys with Brawl did you feel would for-sure be in Brawl that didn't make it, and which ones actually did?
For me, Mewtwo was one, and I'd say Little Mac was probably the other. Was really surprised to see him end up being only an AT.
As for characters I did expect to make it in that actually got in, Diddy Kong and Olimar were easily my most expected after the initial trailer, though I did start to worry for Olimar when we still hadn't seen him close to release.
I remember for Brawl my wishlist/prediction (kinda a mix of the two) went something like this:
Toad
Bowser Jr./Shadow Mario- transformation character
Captain Olimar
Krystal- dont judge me. I wanted another Starfox rep and the staff interested me gameplay wise.
Lucario
Blaziken
R.O.B.- to this day im still surprised that there are so many people mindblown about this character he seemed like an obvious continuation of Mr. G&W especially after MKDS
Sonic- after third party characters were anounced
Diddy Kong
Pit
Mike Jones
Lynn- wasn't into the FE series at the time but the character looks cool so I jumped on the bandwagon.
Wario
Midna w/ Wolf Link- I desperately wanted her in as a transformation for standard Link. Probably my most wanted character.
Toon Link- replacing Young Link and different items like deku leaf, slingshot, Skull Hammer.
Ganon- transformation of Ganondorf. Thought it'd be a cool thing if all the triforce holders could transform
Ridley
Mii
Tom Nook

Cut:
Mewtwo-Im a horrible person
Pichu
Dr. Mario

My main thing was obviously the favorite characters aspect but also getting rid or fixing clones.

Ive changed a lot and it was nearly 10 years ago so dont judge me too harshly on some of my wishes. I now really want Mewtwo back.

Is there any real difference between E10+ and T? :p

Realistic violence, blood, crude humor and strong language are allowed in T. Smash doesn't really have any of that (at least, without Snake), so E10+ suffices.

Games like Shadow the Hedgehog had assault rifles and shit in them and still managed an E10. It's probably the potential for upskirt shots and the like that caused the T rating.

I think the fact that you're a time manipulating hedgehog wielding them kind of nullifies that. There was no blood and the language was very tame, so it erred on the more fantastic side of things.

The ESRB isn't very consistent.

Halo got an M rating because of the Flood, yet Halo Reach still had an M rating even though its violence is against candy-colored aliens and faceless super soldiers.

OT, but Kat has a visible hole going right through her head with the exit wound splitting open her visor from the front of her helmet. ODST you could make a case for not including the mature themes explored in the Sadie's Story side stuff, but Reach and 4 totally earned their M ratings.

4 definitely with the whole vaporization moment. No way that was going under a M. Reach is more eh. I don't think the Kat thing really warranted an M rating, especially since it's not inflicted by the player.

Heck, some pre-release ads for Halo: Combat Evolved had it sporting a T rating. Not entirely sure why, it seemed pretty M-rated to me.

I was sure that Bowser Jr would make it in Brawl, and they wouldn't go without a new Mario newcomer, then I was surprised to see no actual Mario newcomer, aside from Wario, who is counted as a separate series. The lack of a Zelda newcomer, aside from Toon Link replacing Young Link, was surprising to me too

Aside from Wario, who was right in the reveal trailer, Pokemon Trainer and Olimar were some of the newcomers I wanted the most, and I was pleasantly surprised by the trainer's implementation (basically 3 characters)... but years later that returned to completely eliminate him from the next smash...

The game basically is a T game except for the Flood. Too grotesque for T.

Though Timesplitters 2 had some pretty grotesque stuff at T...
