Huh, seems there WAS info on Smash in Famitsu last week...it's just old stuff on WFT and Smash Run though so I guess everyone ignored it. Just saw it on Smashboards.

It shows WFT's Neutral Customization Moves though. Also seems Pac-Man can change his shoes?

Rosalina is basically god so it could just be she just has that original universe that collapsed in on itself in the ending of the original Mario Galaxy lodged up there.

Reach also had a lot of unsettling assassinations, too. Really weird, almost human stuff like bending the enemy over your knee so you could dig right into their kidney, flipping them around to punch them in the gut with your knife, "real time" death reactions to Needler rounds killing you on headshots, not to mention some of the crazy shit like Elites sending their energy blades (wrist-mounted ones for assassinations I mean) right down through Spartan skulls to pull off the "accordion effect" in a more realistic fashion, etc.

There's also the implication that a lot of humans are being indiscriminately offed.

See, this is kinda like Soul Calibur 2. And Soul Calibur 2 was T despite its brutal animations and attacks.

That happens in E games all the time though.
 
Well, never knew there was a "Mini Kangaroo" Nintendo character, but now I sort of want that or the Game Boy to be the WTF Retro Character.

They could probably keep Snake and still shoot for a lower rating if they tone down some of his animations (especially his throws) and keep his weapons as mainly explosives with unrealistic properties.

But in any case Smash has no reason to go for a T rating, generally speaking. Every game in the series would probably have been E10+ if the rating had existed before 2005.
 
Snake had the sleeper hold/neck snapper for his grab. That's pretty realistic but it's a trademark* of Snake in his series. They couldn't replace it with anything else.

I'll be sad if he's gone from the base game (DLC?) but at least we'll still have Brawl.

Well, T is for 13+, right?

Oh well, its really not very consistent

Wasn't Kingdom Hearts 2 E10+? Even with things like the Pirates of the Caribbean world, with a character pointing a gun to his own head

Also for as much as I nitpick about some parts of his Brawl incarnation, Wario Waft was hilarious so I'm glad that's still in.

Still remember people getting up in arms about it alongside Snake back in early '06 because it was 'inappropriate for Smash' or some shit.

to be fair, that's a pretty dubious e-mail, "would of" and all that. i wouldn't really put any stock into it unless somehow proof is provided.

as to the australian classification, i choose to believe the very mild nudity to be a snake soft-confirm, as it is not unlike he is wearing, as it were, nothing at all

and i'm sticking with it god dammit

I thought it was just Rosalina so far, and only because it plays up the whole "Space Goddess/Witch" thing she has going because it suggests that the other side of her clothes is the cosmos itself.
In fact, I think we 100% know that this isn't the case with Palutena judging from her few screens.
 
Trying to remember if there's any Nintendo character that does flash their butt crack when their pants slip off...

Unless it's changed and my information is totally out of date, the ESRB doesn't usually do play-testing for the games. They're just sent information on the game, video and screens of potentially offending material to justify the rating that they're aiming to get.

so yeah bogus

edit: actually, ESRB's FAQ seems to disagree with me. and he's got the "connections with children" bit down, so he's done more research than I have anyway
 
Come to think of it, Ricky the Kangaroo would be a mildly interesting inclusion... even if all he does is punch things and jump really high. And have a pouch, despite being a male.

the two F's are dropped in the title to reveal the title Bravel Default: Lying Airy...I got goosebumps when i saw it the first time
 
As bullshit as that leak is, that kangaroo would be so cool. It'd be extending the history from Nintendo's library before even video games. It'd be almost as cool as getting something from the Hanafuda card era.

Well the English version has
"Where the Fairy Flies" become Airy Lies
, so I don't really know if that's the main reason they had FF. But then idk why they didn't keep the FF in the English version.
