You know what? I'm gonna ride the "Deconfirmation Week" train started last night/this morning. Guessing today's PotD is Smash Run bosses, using K. Rool as the example.
I was really pulling for K. Rool, and I kept telling myself for awhile that the Nintendo rep that accidentally leaked Smash Run-exclusive bosses meant Klubba when he said "A Big Kremling," but even if Diddy/Dixie were supposed to play DKC2-style in Melee, nowadays it wouldn't make sense, and he might have meant K. Rool in a pejorative sense. Oh well. At least we're getting him somehow?

For deconfirmation week to truly be crushing, people's most wanted characters need to be WORSE than assist trophy. I'm talking 'character sitting in the background of a stage' bad, or 'now a key component of that character is an item'
Like, Falco/Wolf appear in arwings on the starfox stage. Monado is an item (slows down time, acts like beam sword). Ridley confirmed as stage boss. All alternate ridley forms can also appear as stage boss. K. Rool's crown is a throwing item w/ similar properties to samus's armor from brawl. All Rhythm heaven characters are enemies in smash run, ESPECIALLY marshal and chorus kids. Ness's home run bat and yoyo are 'equipment' pieces you use to upgrade your character. So is Lucas's snake.

Nah, gotta be classic. Smash stages work better when there aren't random big obstacles appearing on the upper part, denying KOs. Tetris classic pieces would fall quickly and not interfere with KOs.

Tbh at this point Bomberman is probably at the top of my want list because most of the other characters I wanted in the game are already confirmed... (Little Mac, Villager, Lucina, Mega Man, Pac-Man, and the return of Captain Falcon)
Every other character we get at this point feels like a bonus to me lol

I'd rather there not be too many and for new characters to be as original as possible, but I can't pretend I wouldn't be excited for Impa as a Shiek knockoff.
Only if it were the one way to prevent Adam attaining playable status.
