Before the day ends, just wanted to give a little shout out to Metroid because on this day, the first Metroid was released 26 years ago. The image is for the 25th anniversary, but this image is still relevant with the way Nintendo treats the franchise. :(

Why are you torturing yourself like this?
100% on every Metroid game (except Pinball, because I don't own Pinball anymore... :(). Thankfully, I'm starting Super Metroid soon (after Metroid 2).

But yeah, I'm not a fan of invisible walls. Corruption's worst invisible walls were the ones blocking you from screw attacking over to other rooms in Elysia.

What has she become, this Newborn? Clad in Chozo armor, wielding weapons our hands once held, does she dream of the Chozo as we once were? Does she long for her parents, lost to the same creatures that even now defile our sacred home? Does she still live?"

trophy store is a great idea

finally something to spend coins on

You could spend coins to buy things in Melee and Brawl. That is, until you've bought everything, then coins become useless.

Also, this isn't the first time you could spend coins to outright buy trophies

i really love this drawing gives off a scribblenauts vibe

Not sure if I can link to it here, but you can check out the scans on Smashboards. Here's her moveset:

B: Autoreticle
B(2): Explosive Flame
B(3): Divine Light

UpB: Teleport
UpB(2): Jump Glide
UpB(3): Rocket Jump

DownB: Counter
DownB(2): Lighten
DownB(3): Fireworks

SideB: Reflect Barrier
SideB(2): Super Dash
SideB(3): Angelic Missile

Final Smash: Black Hole + Mega Laser

Not sure what to make of that. My initial reaction was "wait, does she have any actual default attacks outside of her A button?" before remembering auto-reticule :P She could be set up to troll people... she's sure as heck got a lot of run-away/keep-away tools by default.

Wait, there's an actual Viridi model? Wonder why they used a 2D billboard for her appearance on her level :o

TANGEANT: Hey neiteio, you wouldn't happen to have a gameFAQs account named after a cold zelda character would you? :P

I keep getting Toxi and Beelzebuffalo mixed up because their avatars are based on close-ups of critter eyeballs.

In other news, I hope we get a veteran reveal to close off the week. I'd personally like to witness the high definition, gaseous fumes of Wario's garlic-scented Waft attack.

Hopefully, it's just because it's an older version of the stage.

But yeah, I'm not a fan of invisible walls. Corruption's worst invisible walls were the ones blocking you from screw attacking over to other rooms in Elysia.

It is lazy design, marring the Prime series' otherwise great record. I loved how the first Prime had almost no invisible walls or bottomless pits, giving you a sense that you were navigating the environment itself rather than a set of arbitrary restrictions imposed on you by the developers.

yeah but this is an actual store

melee and brawl was just random, wasn't it

I honestly haven't spent coins in Melee since 2001 and Brawl since 2008

Oh by the way, since I didn't mention it before:

Autoreticle, Angelic Missile, Lightweight/Celestial Missile, & Warp for best Palu build in singles. Heavenly Light replaces Autoreticle for doubles.

Only forum I've actively posted on in years is GAF

I'm surprised by how good Prime is with invisible walls. I can't think of a single one from my most recent playthrough. There are a few arbitrary restrictions (The one that immediately comes to mind is requiring the X-ray visor to damage the Omega Pirate), but by and large the game doesn't force the player into inelegant solutions.

Considering you can hold a max of 300 play coins and none of the trophy prices go above that, I suspect you're very likely right :3

WALK FOR YOUR TROPHIES PEOPLE! :P

Nah, when a game uses play coins they use the play coins symbol

You'll most likely get smash coins as you play like the other games.

Jump Glide is better. Has greater horizontal and vertical range, easy to control, AND you can attack during the move!

I'm not sure if I misunderstand you, or you misunderstand me right here XD
???

I'm talking about how many Play Coins a trophy will cost. It seems the standard amount for Smash Coins is 300. Obviously that's not how many PCs a trophy will cost, hence "exchange rate".

Hopefully it's 5 per trophy.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh ok I see what ya mean. Like buying a trophy using smash coins or just buying it with play coins instead?

And people say the 3DS game will be gimped.

With even more trophies than Brawl, this is a proper Smash game, not some puny alternative people so believe.

Thanks Sakurai for filling this up with as much content as possible.

Not sure if I like Mii being your multi-man enemies, but sure.

If they didn't then saying things like this will make them wonder though... you're kind of perpetuating the problem you supposedly have when you keep saying stuff like that and most people who mention the 3DS vs Wii-U versions on here just say they look forward to playing on the couch with a controller rather than anything about 'gimping' or the like :/

Let's be honest, once the Wii U version comes out people are still gonna think exactly just that. At least the console centric western world will.
