Trying to branch out from using Kirby but only care for Toon Link and so far but he's pretty great. I thought I would like Shulk but I suck around the edges of the stage.
Right guys and gals.
I've never played a Smash Bros. Game, I'm not a super huge fan of fighters in general, I like them but I've never been crazy about them. If I bought this I'd only really play with the odd person locally, or my little brother. Otherwise it'd be solo/online.
Should I buy this game?

Is it really that hard for people to make their own basic purchasing decisions in life? Learn to think critically about what you want to do.
Can anyone who has the Gamecube Adapter confirm if it recognizes it as a pro controller in other games?

Controls are really weird on the Gamepad after years of playing 64 and Melee... I'd love to get the GC adapter so I can use my Wavebird but I just don't have the money right now.
Only works for Smash.
Didn't Nintendo confirm weeks ago that it doesn't work with other Wii U games?

I'm a big smash fan. I'll be honest with you. It's not that fun by yourself. Alone, smash a mediocre experience. Despite all of the great features, fine tuning, polish, etc. It's just not that fun by yourself. End of story. Online is better for sure, playing with random people online is pretty good, but there's no chat during matches. Anyone familiar with my post history can see that being able to trash talk and joke around DURING a game is a tremendous thing for me. Playing online in total silence... not so great.
Locally is where this game shines most brilliantly. This game is INSANELY fun with a couple people on a couch, and with the new board game mode and eight player support, it's even crazier. My two cents.
I feel like smash tour might be more fun with actual players instead of cpus; there are some interesting elements presented in the mode.
Warpstar Smash is garbage - tier tho.
Has anybody gotten any more interesting trophies along the lines of Commander Video and the Rayman stuff?
Time to rek. FOR DEMACIAAAAA!

There's no other way besides meeting a certain amount of fights. Don't worry though you only have to kill one character/mii for DHD to unlock. You can die right after that and get him.is cruel smash seriously the only way to get the duck hunt stage? there's no other way?
If you read even a page of posts here, though, you see an endless wall of praise. If the people in the main thread tell you to stay away from the game, that's probably a warning sign. More than likely, they came in here to make sure that's not the case.
I'm sure if you went into the AC:U thread and asked 'should I buy it?' you'd get some mixed results, but a lot of 'no.' That's the kind of input they're looking for.

You couldn't preorder for in store pickup? No Best Buy close to you?Stupid Best Buy and their late delivery. I pre-ordered so long ago. I really want to be playing this game tonight but it's at my local post office and unavailable until they deliver it tomorrow.
Last time I do day of pre-order.
Wifi or no Wifi?

Why is classic mode hidden in the menus? Is it not played as often or something?
