Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 2: Where Pilotwings is apparently Minecraft

Guys, he will return. Believe it.

Marth tips 35% just for coffee. He is a stud, the stud of studs.

Does anyone like Roy because of FE6 or is it just because of Melee?

He was a pretty mediocre lord from one of the weaker FE games (though a weak FE is still an excellent game).

I imagine it's largely the same with Pit. Some people may know him, but most of that characters' fans are due to Smash Bros

I really hate Link's look. Not graphically impressive and very bland to boot.

Awful.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that! :) it seems very inconsistent, too. From screens, that Link looks rather different than some of Link from the front or another angle. His face just doesn't look right to me, and his hair seems off somehow too. (but the render on the site is <3, and the 3DS version nailed Link perfectly )

the models you see ingame are the CGI renders just downscaled, it was the same with brawl.

Crap I missed the very brief re-mention on my most wanted character - CAPTAIN N!!!!!!!!!

I've accepted it'll NEVER happen but it would just be so awesome. I think he could be such a unique and obscure addition (even more obscure than R.O.B.) plus we got most of the cast now (just missing Simon Belmont)

*sigh* I guess I'll just keep holding out for Little Mac, King K Rool, and Bowser Jr.

I think Snake works as an "outsider" type character if that makes sense. He's not really associated with Nintendo that much but he shows that there can be unexpected cases with Smash. And him commenting on other characters through the codecs was hilarious.

I'm fairly indifferent to him staying or leaving though, I never really got into his play style personally. Though if he does go it would be nice if there was a similar style to replace it. (And if they put Simon in instead I wouldn't complain either)

I've never been a huge fan of Snake or Metal Gear Solid so I wouldn't mind seeing him go.

As for an outsider type character I would love for him to be replaced by Batman, he would be a great fit for a character in this sort of game and he's been in a lot of games on Nintendo consoles, including some fairly recent major games. I doubt they will ever include him though.

We'd sooner get Goku.

But if we did get Batman, Kevin Conroy or bust

I hope Halo makes it in. Eh kills aleins and doesn't afraid of anything.

Batman is impossible lol. Have to have originated in a video game.

Where exactly has Sakuari or Nintendo said that's a rule for Smash Brothers characters?

Like I said I don't think it would happen but Batman would be an awesome character for Smash.

Why in the world would a non-video game character ever be a thought in the head for smash? its kinda ridiculous to even suggest it

Batman NES has awesome music. Sunsoft was killer. Maybe Aero the Acro-bat will be in Smash?

What screenshot is everyone expecting today?

I want a new 3DS stage, Olimar with his Pikmin, WFT and Villager (only seen one image) or the Galaxy Wii U stage.

ROB is basically a toy that connects to the NES and yet he is a Smash Character.

Batman wasn't originally a videogame character yet he's appeared in over 25 videogames on Nintendo platforms over the years, and that's not including games like Injustice, Justice League or the new Scribblenauts game where he's appeared in but wasn't the main character. That's way more games on Nintendo platforms then Snake/Metal Gear Solid has had.

He's also in a extremely popular and critically acclaimed game series, one of which has already appeared on the Wii U, 2 more are going to appear on the Wii U and 3DS next month. The Arkham games are also one of the few major 3rd party games on the Wii U and WB is one of the few major third parties still supporting Wii U.

Batman also has a huge fan base and is well known worldwide. Some of his fanbase who normally wouldn't buy the game otherwise would probably buy Smash just because he was in the game.

Batman would also work as a great character for Smash. He is a combat focused character and has a lot of gadgets that can be used as B moves.

Just because a character was created before videogames existed doesn't mean they should automatically be disqualified from Smash, especially when the character has a long history with Videogames, especially such a long history on Nintendo platforms.

Edit: I also forgot that he has a great gallery of supporting characters that could be used as assist trophies and plenty of locations that could be used as stages.

rob wasent just a toy with connections to the NES he was one of THE reasons the NES took off the way it did, he is featured in nintendo games all the time, batman is nowhere near that level and batman is not a game character, he is a comic book character, a popular one so he got a few games, but that does not make him a video game character.

If we're seriously campaigning for 4th-party characters to get in, then I nominate Archie Andrews. Hell, I'll even make the moveset:

B->: Broken Jalopy- Works like Wario's B->
Up B: Pureheart the Powerful- Work's like Falcondorf's Up B.
Down B: Stressful choice- Spawns a forcefield while he decides who to meet up with on a date.
B: Call Friend- One of the citizens of Riverdale comes and whacks the opponent.
Final Smash: Married Life- Everyone simultaneously ages 10+ years. Due to the pressures of life/old age, they're easier to knock away. Everyone's also joyless in their manner/sound effects.

Reason: Sonic and Megaman have comics published by the company. Both will probably be in the game. So, ergo, he's connected in a Kevin Bacon kind of way.

Archie Comics V.S SNK for EVO 2015.

But would he be as rad as Tony Hawk

You really think ROB was the reason the NES took off? Why did he only get two games if he was so popular? Why was the bundle with ROB only produced for a limited amount of time? ROB may of gotten some attention before the NES launched but he wasn't the reason the NES was so popular.

ROB really isn't featured in Nintendo games, he usually just has small cameos aside from being a playable character in Smash.

Batman has had more games on Nintendo systems alone then the number of games a lot of Smash characters have appeared in.

I still haven't really seen an argument for why Batman wouldn't be a good character for Smash other then "LOL he is a comic character". You guys shouldn't be so closed minded when he would be a great third party character.
