If you went back and shown my childhood self Smash Brothers would have Mega Man and Sonic one day I wouldn't believe you.

Since Smash 64, they were never the same...
It's the same case as Avengers, whenever you get individual movies (or in this case, games) of each character, in the end you also get excited "for the next Avengers" (or "the next Smash")

The most well known old school mascots from the industry in a single game? Fighting each other? That's like a nerd dream come true.
They already have Capcom and Sega on board, would be hilarious if there wasn't any Namco character despite them working on the game.

Well, I don't want to get your hope high but there are a leak that mentioned Little Mac, Mii, Pac-Man, Wii Fit Trainer, Animal Crosser and Mega Man a day or two days before SSB4 trailers got shown in Direct.
I think they could use those 3 names to throw along with 3 confirmed characters to create the smokescreen so we might not seen them after all. I really hope that we will see them.

I don't know, Pac-Man is like.. THE Namco character that deserves a spot in Smash.
They still need to work on his design tho (if he ever makes it to the roster) Most people seem to hate his newer design. Personally, I think he looks great but what do I know lol

Oh god. I don't know about that as a character, but third party assist trophies would be pretty great.
But Xevious sucks.
I'd really like for Simon Belmont (done in the Zelda / Fire Emblem character style) and Pac Man (Obviously toon style like the Mario representation). That's my personal dream third party roster.
