I've never played a Pac-Man game outside of the arcade, so what sort of special moves could he even have? Throwing pellets at people? Maybe it'll be something from one of those platformer games. I like the idea of the character though: he's a gaming icon, like Sonic and Mega Man.
In World I recall his main attack was bouncing and he had a roll move that was similar to Sonic or Jigglypuff. And he could do some basic punches. I assume one of his moves would be him biting like Wario or something.
Who knows where Sakuai would get inspiration though.
Just to add to this, Pac-Man can also throw pellets around - at least, in the first Pac-Man World he can.Well... If they go by Pac-Man World, he can roll and bounce like a ball.
So that pseudo-Spin Dash, bouncing everywhere like a basketball, and throwing pellets around. Not too bad a start, really.
They're going to break out his chomping ability from the newest game, I can just feel it :\
Speaking of Xenoblade's music. MAN! I can see the praise for the music is well founded. I know Guar (?) Plains (where I just got to) had been a top pick and I can hear why. Feels like it would be a great Smash track. It'd funny to me how much it sounds like Dark Pit's theme but of course it's the same composer.
Actually, Sakuraba wasn't involved with Xenoblade.
I agree it should be in Smash, though!
And "Gaur Plains" was composed by ACE+, so it's still not an apt comparison (although I've seen Dark Pit's theme attributed to Sakuraba as well). Mitsuda only composed the credits track; most of the work up to that point was ACE+ or Yoko Shimomura. The opening and Dark Pit's theme was composed by Mitsuda.
Also, I really need to watch my spoiler highlighting. I mean, it's not like I wasn't aware that Xenoblade was building up to
