Just voted. Glad to have voted in my first primary. I was honestly still making my mind up until the last minute. I just like both candidates a lot. I stood there for a solid minute before I filled in the bubble. And honestly, it didn't matter. My girlfriend and I cancelled each other's votes out. But I'm glad I went anyway.

Congrats on voting. It's important to note that even if your votes "cancelled out" they still held another kind of value. The turn out of both republican and democratic parties can act as barometers of excitement of the respective electoral bases. More votes = More excitement which can have an effect on who will be projected to win. This in and of itself has an effect on how people perceive candidates and whether or not it's a wise investment for certain individuals to throw money behind a candidate. Every sanders vote still has an indirect means of helping hilary and vice versa if sanders were to win.

Keeping it locked to Fox News tonight... The salt will flow

Good idea, though I have to set up my directv and I feel like I don't want to help them with a .0000001% rating score or something. Hopefully some people will save it on youtube.

Hashtag RecordTheSalt. (is this how it works?)

Maddow said that Clinton's people don't expect to win in Mass.

Sounds close

I'd say it would be a loss for Sanders if they were so close that the delegate count was the same or only +1 in his favor. He needs to win big time in a lot of states. Tying just makes it harder for him to counteract Clinton's Southern dominance.

That's true, but polls over the past week have not looked good for him in MA

The big issue for Sanders is Clinton sorted her shit out; she finally realised that she's the bigger story so all her attacks at Sanders just promoted him.

Sanders meanwhile seems to quite physically have run out of steam.

And you've got to believe if Clinton and Sanders are basically tied, that the super delegates are going to give it to Clinton, so Sanders needs to win pledged delegates outright.

Good to hear. While I think South Carolina doomed Bernie's chances at the nomination, losing Mass would be a KO.

They didn't 'expect' to win Nevada either, if I understand. Being humble on the close races is the smartest position to take. Expecting to win a state that's close, and then losing it, isn't going to look good at all.

Would just like to say that two polling locations in Killeen, TX (Fort Hood) ran out of Democrat ballots today. Apparently voters were waiting hours and they never came. Last I heard some were on the way.

I really hope this kind of shit doesn't happen on election day. This area is shady enough when it comes to politics.

Marco Rubio has redefined the art of winning, moving past conventional notions such as "getting more votes than the other guy".

Kasich is just going to try and push those above him (I.e. Rubio) away if he can't beat Trump to see if he performs better directly against him. He'll never get there as I think Trump has given Rubio and Cruz enough reason to doggedly fight him.

Why is Sanders in vermont
the one state in the country he needs to put zero effort in (and the lowest amount of delegates up for today) and he decides to hold his rally/speech there?

Yes, he's def gonna do that. He wrote a paper describing what a Trump presidency looks like back in 1999. Very little has changed since then. Some things we might see in the ge, like his promising to be a 1 term president and other shenanigans. He also promised to slick back his hair to reveal his final form, like he's liquid snake or something.

The debates are going to be amazing.

I know he'll shift center, but there's two possible motives. One is "I just wanna win and be the president because it will show how awesome and powerful I am, so I'll do whatever it takes to maximize my chances". The other is "I want to turn these lunatic right-wing nutcases into rational people, so I will mind control them and make them succumb to my will".

I'm saying more like what if it's the second one. I think we can all agree that whatever his motivation is, it definitely contains a healthy dose of the first one, however.

That's true. I'll still be happy if Bernie wins, but I don't expect it.
