I'm only hearing audio on the Bernie "speech"... is he at a truck stop or something? I guess he really didn't think he had a chance of winning tonight.

wtf does this even mean

as if black voters all have the same priorities

Bill was the first black president. We all thought black voters would help her win the nom.

Also, i was just kidding. no need to get upset. this is stressful for Hillary supporters like me. I thought she was up by like 20 points.

Damn, good job, Bernie! I don't want to jinx it, but that's looking like a serious lead. I'm very impressed. Maybe he does have a chance after all. Although, I doubt it'll improve his delegate deficit anyway, it's a sign that maybe his coalition is growing.

This would imply they've ever been watchable.

They have some excellent content from time to time, and sometimes make some very valid and poignant observations, so long as you can get over how left wing and sometimes jovial they are.

This...press conference.

Politics is all about image and projecting confidence and enthusiasm.

Whatever this, uh, thing is that Bernie is doing right now is not a good look. Looks like he set up a podium in the lobby of a Holiday Inn.

I can count about a net +15,000 for Sanders around the state still, so Clinton would need a +50,000 jump or so in Detroit proper. Which isn't impossible, but extremely improbable. This is looking like 20,000 or so total to Sanders.

It'll be fun to read the autopsies on how the polling was sooooooo off, combined with people choosing not to turn out because they thought it wasn't going to be close or people that voted Republican for fun.

Am I making excuses? Damn right I am! But Sanders fully has earned a win. There's no denying that.

Hillary's logo is horrible, just saw it for the first time. A big H with an arrow pointing to the right? Was it designed by a Bernie intern? Talk about self-defeating.

Okay, sure, but my point is that the numbers state by state aren't exactly how the results need to go down. Yes, he's behind, but there's plenty, plenty, plenty of opportunity to make up for it and gain a lead. This is still a race, despite the clear media bias that suggests otherwise.

Sure, they don't have to go down exactly that way but it's literally the most relatively feasible path--that's what the chart is. I mean, you give him 60% of the fattest delegate state left and he still has to massively overperform all over the place. Every state that ends up being even sorta close to Hillary's benchmarks at this point means he's got to go absolutely nuts above and beyond his somewhere else, to say nothing of him underperforming somewhere.

Black voters under 45 are split 51-49.

Wow.
So this Democratic primary campaign is more about Southern black voters being more conservative (not conservative, but closer to center than the rest of the party) than any other narratives.

Who gives a shit? Honestly, people who care about these things will vote for Trump anyway.

Young black voters throwing support behind Bernie is a good sign for the future. We (leftists) may not be there yet but we're going to get there.

Yeah, looking at what's left, I think he's got this. We're talking about a 1 delegate difference at this point, and she still has a formidable pledged delegate lead, but I can't wait to read about what exactly happened.

President Trump then

Lmao I've always thought the same. I told my friend I thought it was ugly, he was like "eh it's decent" but I just don't see it.

Wow very short speech/statement from Sanders.

I think another question is how all the polling pretty much fucked up so drastically. If the polling showed things would be closer this wouldn't be as big a victory as it is.

There's 15% left she's done.

Hillary didn't get any of her speech shown on CNN, not even anything after the fact
