Switch 2 - What Are You Getting at Launch?

I'm super hyped for Yakuza 0 remake, Switch 2 version of Suikoden 2, and Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD remaster.

I'll also get Kart of course, and DK depending no how it reviews. Prime 4 same, but most likely a day 1. I'm ready for a fucking patch for any Xenoblade or Fire Emblem game or any new Xenoblade or Fire Emblem game. XCXDE Switch 2 patch would be ideal. Some other games I will buy patches for like Kirby.

I also have not gotten my preorder in. They fucked me starting it at midnight and I didn't know that. I am on the list though and got an email the other day saying to keep waiting and keep the faith. The email was from Nintendo. So I will keep waiting.

Again, Gamestop and Bestbuy will have extra units available ON LAUNCH for those that don't have a preorder.

Unless people have curfews or don't live near a Bestbuyor Gamestop, you have Have a Chance to get a Switch 2, At Launch!

Just clicked on the Nintendo store here in the UK it says pre orders are available and lets me buy one for June 5th.

So either they have lots, that's a lie or they aren't selling well here.

Launch

Switch 2 Console w/ Mario Kart World
Street Fighter 6
Switch 2 Pro Controller
Gamecube Controller

Stay busy with those games + Gamecube classics, can't wait to play Wind Waker again. Will check out TOTK upgrade as well since I'll have it for free, not really planning to invest big time in to it but you never know. On my latest playthrough I was just getting to the big climb in the sky / airship dungeon so that part will be really cool to do with the enhanced visuals for sure.

July

Really considering July part of the 'launch window' gives me:

Donkey Kong Bananza
Tony Hawk 3+4
Shadow Labyrinth

I'd say the latter.

It's not going to be a repeat of Switch 1. Little Johnny and little Janet already have a Switch - their parents aren't upgrading.

Not shitting on Switch 2 either. Just my opinion.

Breath of the wild
Donkey Kong
Raidou
Prime 4
Pro controller and got a 128gb micro sd express card

Mario Kart World
Tears of the Kingdom Upgrade (finally updating the game, never did on my original Switch so I could still use old dupe glitches).

Buying physical on cart only.
Cyberpunk 2077
Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma
No Sleep For Kaname Date
I was interested in a lot more titles but they are key card releases. Skipping those.

Mario Kart with the console.
Split Fiction to play co-op with my wife.
Then I'll be checking out the upgraded TotK, which I never finished last summer.
Metroid will be my Christmas game.
Poor DK, Bananza looks great, but I can wait.

I'm definitely not the prosumer I once was for games. I just don't have the time to play everything anymore. That and the increased game prices have me very picky about what I want to pay full price for. I don't know if they'll feel any negative effect on their bottom line (probably not) but as far as my gaming dollar goes, their new pricing strategy has definitely backfired.

Oh, and Welcome Tour can get bent by Bowser.

No doubt it will be hard to get one on launch. Camping tents will be out in full force a day or two beforehand.

Mario Kart World, Cyberpunk 2077 and maybe Arcade Archive 2 Ridge Racer.

Later in the year Donkey Kong Bananza, Metroid Prime 4 and Virtua Fighter 5 REVO (waiting for further announcements).

Currently in the process of selling my Switch 1.
At launch, will just be getting the Switch 2 and Mario Kart World.

Starting a NSO+Expansion family plan with some family and friends. There's 7 of us so it's dirt cheap.
Will use that to resume my TOTK playthrough with better frames/resolution.

Later I'll get Prime when it comes out
