Switch up on Amazon.de - 329,99€

Here's another way to do it :
Look for "besoin d'aide ?" in the footer of each page. Then select "Mes commandes et mon compte Fnac" > "Mes commandes" > "Annuler ma commande". You should the find your order at the bottom of the page, and you can click on "Annuler un article", check all boxes, click on "Confirmer", and voilà !

Let me know if that helped ;).

That doesn't seem to be working either :(

And I can't seem to get VPN to work on my phone (or don't know how to use it)... this is a nightmare

I had a Switch + Zelda preorder from Fnac for 314€ + 50€ (there was a 15€ discount on Zelda when bought with a console) and 30€ back.
Preorder price guarantee means I should end up at 349€ for both with 30€ back. Now we're talking.

The sucky part is that orders are never updated to reflect that preorder price guarantee, so the only time you ever know is when your order ships.

They might do that. Or they might update the bundle price at 359.99€ for everybody. As you said, we will only know when it ships.

No, Germany. Price isn't moving at all over here.

Got mine from public.gr. The price briefly dropped to 299€ (for a couple of hours on January 12 after the presentation) and I managed to get one at that price. Free shipping and same-day delivery too.

Even with VPN running on my phone and country set as France, and changing my country to France in my Google account, still won't let me install the app.

That happened to me yesterday. Go to your panier and should see a button that'll open up a chat window with customer service.
You should be able to ask for a cancellation there!

What's a panier?

I’m probably having more fun with this than I should.

Fnac.com still leading for me, the problem is to be sure if the voucher will only be valid with Fnac+ enabled (does anyone know for sure?) and by how much not having Fnac+ will change shipping costs, since right now being a Fnac+ member seems to make a difference for that.

For me the cheapest I see is :
Fnac Switch : 299€ + 30€ from the code
Then wait until the account is funded with the 30€ (how long the wait is ?) => Zelda : 35€
So bundle at : 334€

Yeah that’s pretty good. I have to make my peace with the extra taxes and shipping up north though. Still not bad, considering the console alone costs about 380 here :P

Same "issues" here. :-\

Hope someone can clarify.

That's missing shipping cost (not that cheap, we're talking about 15€ more or less... shipping to a country that is NOT France, I mean by the way)

And that's assuming they can combine shipping, which I'm not sure about.

Woops sorry about that, I meant your cart (panier in French).

Go there: https://secure.fnac.com/orderpipe/pop/panier

On the top right you should see an image that says "Besoin d'aide". Click on it and you should be able to start a chat.

Thanks, but I've been to that help page many times and looked at and clicked on every option. There is no option to start a chat. There are links to Facebook and Twitter, I sent them a message on Facebook but it doesn't seem like anyone is on the other side (no delivery checkmark and no reply). Wanted to send them a PM on Twitter but looks like they disabled messages.

Edit: somehow managed to find the chat link, but when I click it it says there is nobody available right now.

Also found the link to cancel my Fnac+ Card, but when I click it it refreshes the page and the link disappears. What a mess this website is. Never again dealing with them. Completely ruined my day.

For those having doubts with the Fnac offer : the 30€ are credited on your loyalty card funds. If your trial period is over, you obviously won't get it. They are credited days or weeks (if there was a lot of demand it's most of the time a manual operation from them) after the order is dispatched.

Well now that the Fnac price is 299€, we're even with the 65€ Zelda. Well fuck, I guess I could even get the console only with the SWITCH30 code, and the game at launch on retail with my work discount. EDIT : that's what I did. So I'm going from 334,95 (314+50.95-30) to 321 (299+52-30)

Jup, it was also possible to preorder it at Saturn for 279 Euros and Amazon had it for 178,50 Euros for a few seconds (still not sure I will get it for that price even thought their customer services says so :-D).

In the chat with the amazon support, he told me that he couldn't see the price fall here before launch because the demand. They appearantly have quite a lot to do with Switch prices and interest atm.

Amazon.fr Zelda + Switch is at EUR 363,38 for me atm, delivery included :)

Disregarding that 30Euro extra from Fnac it would be cheapest to order the Switch in France and Zelda in the UK (both Amazon). That would total about 355Euro opposed to the current 395Euro it would cost in Germany.

Edit: Quick question regarding both French and UK Amazon, they only charge when the goods are despatched, right?

Guys, you're NOT getting the 30 Euro credit from Fnac unless you already have a Fnac+ Card plus paid membership that you plan on keeping OR you let them auto charge you after the trial ends (which will be before the Switch ships). So you will be paying more than 40 Euro to get 30 back.

Amazon France -> yes

What is this fnac thing ? Is it free to be a member ? Can we buy internationally from them ? I am seeing many discounts on the first page.

This makes me think cancelling Fnac+ won’t affect the €30 to the loyalty account:

And that it will only affect the other 2 things.

Anyway, I tried to order the standalone Switch, SWITCH30 code still worked, would be great for €314+ €30 (~22) back, but this time, unlike when I ordered the bundle, they asked authorisation from my card to charge €314. When I ordered the bundle they only asked for a €1 charge for verification. No can do. Or maybe I can do and if there’s fuckery I’ll ask the bank to reverse the charges.

My guess would be that many import from Amazon Germany. Scandinavians and such. I hope that retailers will start dropping the prices, like Media Markt or Saturn. But since they are sold out too it could be really close until launch.

I just hope Amazon FR ships my Zelda bundle early for launch. I picked the Packstation option too. Otherwise I'll just head to Media Markt or Saturn and pick up my pre-order there.

I have too many pre-orders.

Jesus, you guys are crazy. I'm just happy i got my one preorder in when they originally opened up. Whether i'm gonna end up paying close to 430€ or 'only' 400€ for Zelda (Limited) + the Switch doesn't make much of a difference now.

But you do you, ofc. :)

No, a regular Fnac card is enough to get the credit. There was actually 2 different credits as of yesterday : the SWITCH30 that worked for anyone with a Fnac, Fnac+ or Fnac One card, and the Fnac+ promotion, which was of 20€ if I remember well, and for which you had get the Fnac+ card (and I assume to have a valid card by the time they charge you, which would be at shipping time (and that card costs 49€/year for Amazon Premium-like advantages). The first offer is actually a really common one for La Fnac, they do it all the time with new games and new consoles to get an edge on their competitors.

Ah yes i didn't know the shipping was this much. So yeah the deal is quite good with free shipping but for french residents.

Wonder if now we will see the war of prices shift to Zelda seing that the switch is at 299€

What if the Switch is still available a few days before launch.

Order again, use a trial (with the help of another person) and use the credit before cancelling the trial 🤔

Damn, 178,50 was pretty sweet.

The zelda offer is still up but now it's only a 5€ discount so that the bundle rounds at 360€.

I have no idea how they will update previous orders.

Yeah I just asked the Fnac and if you had the reduction of the bundle (mine was 15€), you won't keep it and benefit at the same time from the new lowered price.
So you'll pay the bundle 359 and just have the 4€ reduction that is actually online.

I managed to install the Fnac app on my phone and requested to cancel the items. They're still showing in my order though, I'm hoping it just takes time.

I think I figured why it wasn't letting me cancel the entire order, because it considers the Fnac+ card as shipped and they don't allow cancelling a partially shipped order (I'm actually worried they have shipped me a physical card, that's what it read like. If true this would mean I'll be paying $12 just to have the card shipped to me). I also requested not to renew my trial. Hoping this does it.

Edit: Received the order cancellation emails. Woot! Finally... what an ordeal.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help.

Interestingly enough all my pre-orders (Amazon DE and Amazon FR) show the same shipping dates. 7-8 of March. And I pre-ordered seconds after it hit Amazon DE.

I preorderer a minute ago on amazon.fr and it says March 3.

.fr tells me 7-8. and .de tells me friday march 3rd.

If you're located in Germany, that's probably why, because you're importing it takes longer. I've re-ordered my Switch a few times now and it still says March 3rd.

My order on .fr from the 23rd shows delivery March 7-8... Maybe because I'm using free shipping? Do you guys who have it March 3 have Prime or paid extra for shipping?

I ordered two color version and zelda two days ago from Finnish store: Konsolinet, 438.95€. ouch, I hope they reduce the price as well. In anycase I'm happy if I get the console on launch day.

maybe they favor Prime?
ordered seconds after it went live on Amazon.de, mine still shows March 3 (with Prime).
