Nightdive Studios has delayed the consoles versions of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster from their previously planned June 26 release date to sometime in the first two weeks of July. The PC version will still launch on June 26

We have encountered issues that have prevented us from launching System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster on consoles, including Xbox, Switch, and PlayStation, on June 26 as originally intended.

We're currently working to address these issues as quickly as possible.

Because of this, we've made the difficult decision to proceed with the game's release on PC platforms (Steam, GOG, Epic, Humble) on June 26, with the console release now targeting the first two weeks of July.

We'll update everyone as soon as we have a set launch date for consoles.

Their adding some last minute bussy into the game for consoles to please Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. Because they know PC modders will just mod bussy into the game anyway. It will be quite a shock to the system

GoG or Steam for this? Thats the real question
If something's available on both, I tend to go for GoG. True ownership, plus I like supporting all the great initiatives they have going like the one click mods and GoG game preservation program. I love Steam too but.....they don't need my help as much lol, they're gonna be just fine if my dime often goes to GoG.

GOG has two downsides when purchasing new games - some patches may not get the same priority as on Steam, also it's super easy to refund Steam games if the game is too bugged or runs like crap.

GoG has a good return policy as well but it's not automatic like Steam

shodanussy got me actin unwise
Geez freaking hell, this gave me a good laugh, holy hell. Shodanussy is the funniest one ever, don't know why I didn't think of it. It's funny as hell, they are adding some more Manyussy as well and more xerxesussy ai.

So how's System Shock 2. Is it worth playing still today or didn't it age well?

100% worth playing.

This game would shame most "modern" ones. Even System shock 1 remake showcases how far ahead this genre was compared to traditional gaming and system shock 2 is just better in every aspect imo. System shock 2 is a master class of horror and immersion.

I envy peoples who will go through this for their first time, I wish I would wipe my memory of this game and start it again like my first play-through.

Cool, thx will check it out definitely.

With Death Stranding coming out at the same day this is good news. I was first debating which one to buy and play first.
