T-Mobile Hotspots Support Wi-Fi Connection

eh, i figured i'd just make a thread about it just cause. i think it's a very smart move on Nintendo's behalf, and just as good, if not better than busting out Wi-Fi Connection at Mc Donalds.

so yeah, based on the locations here in Los Angeles....

T- Mobile = Starbucks, Boarders, and Barnes & Noble.

guys know of any other places that use T-Mobile Hotspots?

Red Roof Inn does.

Tons of airports too. I can't remember any specific ones though - they all blur together after awhile.

Link? :)

Sounds pretty sweet. I hate McDonalds with a passion, so this will allow me to take my DS in public in respectable places. Barnes and Noble is a great place to hang out.

theres a press release for this?

Yeah, I really didn't like the "limited" part, but hey, if just the Starbucks close to me has it, I won't complain :).

article updated:
Reggie meant to say Wayport, not T-Mobile. Wayport. Nintendo has not ruled out the possibility of working with other providers, however. Also, our correspodent adds that the DS Wi-Fi will support MAC and WEP security but NOT WPA.

Please say Barnes and Noble. That's a place I could actually sit and play for hours without being harassed by a ton of little kids.

The T-Mobile news item was in error -- Reggie gave bad info at the press conference and another spokesperson corrected the error a few hours later. DS online is only Wayport for now, although they left the possibility of other partnerships open. My vote is "he let something slip."
