You get a code by buying a big box. You register to enter the code... that you got from the big box. You can also send in handwritten code request letters, but those take time before the codes show up.

I really want to get on this train but with the Gold PS4 both codes I got were already used by the time I got the boxes so I 1) just don't trust the fuckers at my local Taco Bell and 2) am put off by so many people in here saying they texted to code, got no reply, tried again and were told that it'd already been used (presumably by them the first time).

I thought people did as soon as it starts, but I've never understood how it works. I think it was once the first person who input a code for a timeslot but it changed. Not too sure.
