Take-Two give more details about Sega sports deal

''Rockstar Sports'' would be a powerful brand to challenge ''EA Sports.''

Now with more R* TRAXZ! (Seriously, they could run EA out on their music deals, as I imagine Rockstar/Take 2 are quite adept at that from the GTA series.)

You know, as a big time Sega fan....I think it's a mistake for Sega to even think about giving up VC. At the same time, I will continue to be a fan of VC as well, regardless if they are fully owned by Sega or not. So these developments mean nothing to me. I just don't see how Sega can become a worldwide top 5 developer without western games, and western developers under their belt. Doing it soley with their japanese developers is going to be tough, especially as the Western markets are starting to move away from Japanese games. But hey, I'm just a fan, not an expert (and neither is anybody else in this thread).

Take Two is doing a good job advertising, I see the commercials all the time. Several times on TNT Basketball, last night.

I agree with you about VC.

I don't think Sega and Take Two will come to an agreement on a price for VC (at least Sega played it smart by not noting a price too early). They've seen that the sprots games can sell if they are priced and marketed right, so Sega might actually opt to keep VC.

If SegaSammy Holdings is looking to invest in a company, why not Take Two? They'd finally have someone who knows how to market games, and has some popular games in the US.

They'd still have Sammy Studios and Amuse.
