I agree I think we're going to see one of the highest turnouts in modern history... this election more than any I can remember has really set distinct boundaries between those who support the different candidates.

Last one may have gotten to 50% and I know the one before that was less than 39%.

It should definitely be a very high turnout this year. I think the ratings for the first debate are pretty telling. People might actually care this year. Then again, you do have to get off your couch to vote.

A lot more people will be registered this time around, which means a lower percentage. I am guessing 52% if we are lucky.

You think so? I'll admit that MAYBE 75% is high but, I would think we would see something in the 60%. This election is WAY to polarized for it not to be a higher turn out.

I heard 43.5 million, compared to 29 million for the VP debate in 2000.

Pfft. 40% tops. I don't think anything's changed. There seem to be as many undecideds as in the past, so there are probably as many people who don't give a rip. When they start featuring topless dancers at polling stations, you can expect voter turnout to go through the roof. PEACE.
