All changes as far as I'm aware:

-Base (2nd/4th cap area, water hatch area) is wider
-Moat area (With the stationary train cars) is wider
-Water hatch moved to opposite wall
-Staircase leading up to Sniper area where the water hatch was before
-All spawns except the 2nd/4th cap one removed (There's no slope or even a doorway leading down in the center building either)
-Extra spawn on the other side of said area
-Health/Ammo spawn at the far end on both sides (In front of where the furthest spawn was before)
-No trains!

Hey what PC settings do you use, and also with TF2 does it require a stronger graphics card or cpu. At home I'm running at 2.2 ghz, 1gb, and radeon 1600 512 mb.

How is CTF_well people? Any good? I'll reinstall my TF2 tomorrow to give it a try.

Hopefully they release more CTF maps!!!

It's ok, I think it's a bit more interesting than regular well as it's not a boring push-back-and-forth-grab-middle-point-so-you-won't-lose map, but it's not that appealing to me yet.

I think it requires a little more strategy than the old well. You'll need for everyone to become more familiar with it before seeing if it has any major potential.

ctf_well is pretty rubbish. Far to big and very limited access to the intel room. Make it smaller and have an underwater tunnel leading to the intel room just like old well and you have a better map.

Or make it a hybrid map where you fight for the control points and have CTF. Instead of returning intel to your base, you would return it to your furthest capture point. That way all the defense wouldn't concentrate in one point and you wouldn't spend all your time pointlessly walking if you were offense.
 
I think it's fine. The only thing I'd change is to get rid of the doors that stop players from getting into the base from the water pipe. The way the intel room is set up I don't think another entrance is necessary, it seems hard enough to defend as it is.

Hmm I think i figured it out. That's not actually a player. Must be some sort of tracking tool.

Yeah, that's my guess. There are some names on there of people who have only played on that server once or maybe twice. Karma, for example, is guy I know IRL. I find it hard to believe someone would literally have used EVERYONE'S alias once, including the people who have only been on the server once.

Usually they suck, but the TF2 guys are pretty damn good. I was pretty surprised when I saw them play.

Err, pardon my complete ignorance, but is ctf_well the exact same map as cp_well just capture the flag instead of capture the control point? Or is this a completely original map?

It's a slightly modified cp_well, so it's basically the exact same map... with a tiny change in some of the features.

Gah! I was hoping for something completely new. While I'm sure this will provide a new "experience", can we please get some completely new, unique maps? Can't wait for the escort stuff.

escort not anytime soon really. Unless you count escorting a CPU controlled cart.

ctf_well feels like the intelligence is just a secondary goal since if you're lucky to actaully get to the enemy base with enough health, there's only 1 way in: through the 2 doors in front. I think they should modify it to let people in through the water tunnel like TFC well.

I'm sure ctf_well would work with coordinated teams, but on most pubs, that's hard to find.

edit: Oops, mixed ctf/cp up. That's what I get for eating + posting.
