I don't remember the turtles cereal (though I definitely had that bowl) but my ENTIRE FAMILY loved this stuff:

It looks pretty similar. That stuff was delicious.

Yup, same exact stuff, just different shaped marshmallows, that's all. I ordered that CD-ROM on the back, it allowed you to make a cartoon clip and replay it. I must've made the same cartoon a dozen times, where Hobgoblin throws probably 200+ pumpkin bombs at Spiderman until it fills the entire screen.

Doh, totally missed your earlier post where you said the same thing. I think I might have to buy a bag of those cereal marshmallows.

Not even! Where was I when this was available? I have no recollection of this cereal.

What's so bad about tropical oils? They sound tasty.
Seriously, was this like a concern back then? like how we "worry" about trans fats these days?

I loved this and ninja turtle cereal
This. And the ghostbusters one. I remember bringing some in a sandwich bag, sticking it in my fanny pak (I thought they were cool when I was in elementary), and eating it after lunch at school. Good times.

And this. This thread is my childhood diet.

I used to love cap'n crunch. It seemed like every kid's cereal back then had to have little marshmallows in it or kids wouldn't touch it.

eh, I tend to skip posts without pictures, glad you included one though, that picture brings so many memories with it

It was out when the 90's cartoon was on, I remember buying it from my local store, same place I bought the TMNT cereal from years before.

They have TMNT ice cream too. At work so I can't post a pic, could someone do it for me? Just google search "Ninja Turtles ice cream."

I think these are still being sold, I was at the zoo a year ago and they had them.

I am being DESTROYED by this thread.

I am going to buy that fucking cereal bowl on eBay...and if I can find it, I'm buying the Capn Crunch dinosaur spoon as well.

FUCK YOU, HATERS.

I will have those goddamned bowls.

I WILL have them.

Then, I will get wasted and eat rice chex with marshmallows out of them in a wifebeater while watching the OG tmnt cartoon.

Try and fucking stop me.

While we're on the subject of TMNT food stuff, do any of you remember the Ninja Turtle pizza from Pizza Hut? I recall it being a really big ass pie that had a thinner NY style crust. I think it's limited release coincided with the home video release of the first movie. I remember as a kid being bugged that it was from Pizza Hut--the Turtles from the movie were strictly Dominos dudes.

I never had the pies, was the filling green?

regular rice chex isn't the same though, it's gotta be frosted chex which I don't think exists anymore :(

I remember these too! I would kill to have both return.

Because I'm an old guy, I grew up eating:

3h7beyc

The semi-recent Star Wars: Episode II cereal was a solid recreation of this. It's essentially Kix plus marshmallows.

3aqqz2c

Tasted like Cap'n Crunch.

3hjgkly

Vaguely Trix-ish, if I remember correctly.

The Batman cereal was this in a different shape.

They're overloaded with saturated fats. They are terrible for your health.

Ah, okay, I didn´t what tropical oils are. We don´t have many coconut trees in central Yurop.

On topic, I don´t like those "marshmallow" things in cereal. But I don´t like most "cereal" aka colourfull blobs of sugar.

The best "licensed" cereal I had:

Godlike.

It looks like there´s three generic dudes on the cover now.

There was nothing Ralston wouldn't licence and slap in a cereal in the 80's, lol.

[BATMAN CEREAL]

Did anyone else have the bank that was shrink wrapped onto this cereal? I'll find a picture... [EDIT] Found one on eBay for $4.99US. I told Mom it'd be worth something someday.

[ECTO COOLER PIC]

Oh, heck yeah! They didn't really cancel the Ecto Cooler, BTW. Hi-C made it orange (it was green) and labeled it 3-4 names until it was finally culled under the "Crazy Citrus" banner. I loved that crap... and yes, I am a Ghostbusters nerd.

[EDIT] Oh my glorious gawd damn...
http://80splayset.blogspot.com/2010/02/breakfast-cereals-by-ralston-part-1.html

I didn't think I remembered so many of these crappy cereals
(and now I'm wondering if I developed some deep, psychological cereal love that's influenced my career choice... stupid Freud)
. I bet still have that Gizmo somewhere...
