Tekken 7 - Offscreen videos

The flop certainly leads people further than a bound but it also has its disadvantages.

For instance, Feng only seemed to be able to do a shoulder tackle after a flop. Plus, the flop moves won't work like bounds against the wall.

This was only due to the amount of hits pre-"bound". I've seen Feng players use the bound move earlier and were able to get f3,4 off it.

The video that MightyKAC posted does a better a job at showing off the visuals. Game is real beautiful.

Just saw it. Hnnnnnng Feng looks amazing. That slow mo shoulder.

People really think this looks like Tekken 6? Tekken 6 looks very dated even compared to Tekken Tag 2, let alone Tekken 7. Are you forgetting that this is blurry, shaky cam footage with a game that is 50-60% complete? @_@

I wouldn't sweat it. I see people say "X looks like a ps2 game."

People clearly haven't played these games in a long time.

T7 looks super solid already. Can't wait to see how it evolves.

The new get up options, easier backwalk, rage arts, and power crush moves all make it easier for newer players to survive until they build their skills up. It make me wonder if the roster cut is as necessary as we once thought. If the reception is good from new players maybe they can add some of the cut characters back on the inevitable Dark Blood Revolution upgrade.

It's definitely necessary since learning to defend the strings of 50 characters is probably the hardest part of the game.

I mean yeah when you start out but you got two string killers in Power Crush that help with that. After awhile people start using the same list of moves over and over.

Well, I'm going to sleep. I've seen enough to be excited for Tekken 7.

Also, people in chat were mentioning Nina is being over-hauled and thus her absence in the loc test. Is this true?

We haven't had an OG character overhaul in a while. Last one was Law in T6.

I wonder if the characters that are missing are the ones who are receiving the biggest animation changes.

I would be pretty happy with a Nina overhaul. I think she needs it.

They'd probably just make a her easier to play.

Yo King with that combo...shit would done at least 70% with that floor break and the unscaled damage from the air throw

The first thing I see is a juggle
oVJl8tc.png

*Looks at the numerous amounts of juggle attempts*

What's the difference?
Difference is that they're way less powerful. A juggle was followed by a simple 3 punch combo and nothing more. Also, I don't see characters bouncing on ground like if they're balloons.
Hide behind a finger if you like it, but modern Tekken is way more juggling. Juggling isn't bad itself, the bad thing is how exaggerated it is right now.

They turned life up to the highest setting. They're less powerful because it's not default settings. EWGF > Laser Scrapers with Jin does like 80% on normal life.

140%.

That's fucking stupid.

Over-hauled? That could be good and bad. Good because maybe they are making her more user-friendly so newer or less patient/skilled players can get a more competent grasp on her finally. Bad because I hope they are not significantly changing her fighting style. Imagine all the Nina players celebrating that she has has returned with glorious UE4 technology and she turns out being drastically different gameplay-wise. Well, Jin turned out OK I suppose, so we will have to see what happens.

Two points that stuck from the video:

Dudes were fucking up combos all over. A proper combo off an EWGF is easily around 50% in Tekken 3. Second, yeah, like it was said: they increase the health to 140% exactly because juggles were really damn powerful in Tekken 3 already.

The only thing that I agree with is that the juggles take way too long to do but Tekken 7 seems to have shorter juggles already. Something between Tekken 5 DR and Tekken 6 based on these videos as far as length goes.
