I had to log in for the first time in maybe a year to say that this is simply untrue.
Take a look at King's chains. Some of these animations haven't been changed since Tekken 5. You can see for yourself. Watch during King's Bridge in particular. Look at the way Mokujin's head moves, for example. Look at his arm positions. Exactly the same.

And, many knockdown/juggle animations, various stun animations, and universal things are decades old. So, yeah, there is still some PS1 era animation in the game.
Also, I'd like to say that technological advances like lighting and shading and crap are nice and all...but when people say that it looks like T6 or TTT2 they aren't just talking about "shinier, spiffier models" or "special effects". They're talking about ART DIRECTION, which hasn't changed since Tekken 5. They're talking about the flow and pace of the fighting which hasn't changed in ages. They're talking about the same old characters doing the same old moves, on the same old people. I don't care how shaky your camera is...you would still be able to tell the difference between SF1, SF2, SF3, SF Alpha, and SF4. Heck, you could easily tell the difference between TTT1 and T4 on a potato phone stream. The art direction, style, and pace of those games are completely different.
THAT'S what people mean when they say it "looks like T6 or TTT2" so far.
