Shit, tried to run Tag2 after ages of not playing, hoping it fixed himself. First impression, "Damn this shit is laggy as fuck." 20 minutes later PS3 died. Oh well. Fired up T6 to train Kuma. Little less laggy and what do you know, Kuma's stronger here.
At the end of the day I figured I'll fire up Tekken 4 on PS3 expecting it to be laggy like PS2 games tend to. Fired it up through progressive scan and holy crap! No lag, responsive like razor. Shooting electrics left and right. Game had emulation issues with slowdown on some stages. I can confirm that. Nothing like that now, I tried for hours to make it drop frames. Nada. Literally the only problem is occasional graphic glitch on FMVs. I don't know if it's progressive scan or some stealth emu update but the game runs like butter and it's ridiculous how much more responsive than Tag2/T6. Night and day difference.
Super positively surprised!
I pray that T7 in final form will be less laggy then reports say now.(Magic day one patch?)
I don't want Tag2 lag any longer.

So after 2 hours with Kaz I'm firing up Paul to see if I still got it. First installment of Demo Man!
Bam Bam Bam
...
The Fuck?!
I can't do it? I just did it in T6. Let me try again.
Bam Bam Bam
Fuck?! I do the usual timing as ever! Why?!
So after countless tries I finally understood that the first Demo Man is a true double just frame. One must hit d+4:2:1+2 perfectly. 10 years of "easy mode" made me forget. There are no lenient frames. There is no imperfect demo man where you "kinda" hit the timing right. No spark demo man's only difference is that you hit d+4,2,1 instead 1+2, the timing is exactly as strict. Shit, made me realize how ridiculously easy they made it in Tag2 and even easier in Revolution where input window must be like 9 frames - no timing needed.
Later Tekkens made me lazy. It's so hard to pull off in T4 that when I did it felt like I actually achieved something. It's hard to believe that 15 years ago I was proficient with this! I'm gonna practice True Demo Man from now on. It's so incredibly satisfying. I'll be practicing True Demo Man in T4.
Also I forgot that Hangover Demo Man is pure love!
Awesome addition.
Whoever decided to take that away should be demo manned.

Besides they totally ruined Hang Over(d+1,4,2) post T5DR. It was mid, low, mid and you had to block accordingly all parts.
So what did they do? They made d+1,4 stagger on block and -31. Okay, but that wasn't enough. The low doesn't trip on hit anymore, doesn't combo and followup 2 is blockable at -14. But that wasn't enough. If you want to do just d+1,4 it's -17....on hit! Genius!
At the very least they could leave demo man at the end for little bit of reward and pushback. d+1,4,2 and d+1,2 was a mixup. Now, you just hold back and block both options for serious punish.
The only chance for this to hit is when someone would mash buttons after d+1. No one does that. Another funny thing is that Hangover in T6/Tag2 worked kinda as an oki option when opponent rolled, since that is gone in T7 they managed to make already useless move even more useless. Bravo.
This nerf is so nonsense that I finally had to rant on it.
Rather then dial up deathfist damage to broken levels in T7 I'd rather like they fixed Hang Over from being completely useless to having mixup potential again. After seeing that console T7 will have another balance(Bryan's qcb+3) I have tiny hope. Please Tekken Team think about fixing d+1,4,2.
