What's a good 40 inch TV
55 oled e6 or 65 dx902 (900)? both similarly priced.....
Wat. Originally Sony wasn't even going to release it to the consumer market, and certainly not for $300.
I wonder if they are now regretting not putting a goddamn 4K UHD BD player in the PS4 Pro.
edit:
Holy crap it's a real listing

I'd go with the Panasonic, unless you'd rather get a 55" in which case go with the LG.55 oled e6 or 65 dx902 (900)? both similarly priced.....
UHD BD player. Is that an actual UHD Blu-Ray player, or just a regular Blu-Ray player that supports 4K Netflix and upscaling Blu-Rays? I'm reading the listing and I'm still not sure.

Well if not the KS8000 can tide me over until Black Friday or maybe even this time next year.
You can currently get a 65" B6 for $1850 so I'm not too far off. You can buy one from ielectrica for $2350 on eBay and then use price protection to knock off $500 by showing the eBuyUSA or East Coast TVs price.
I bought a 60" KU6300 (also known así KU6000) for my Pro and I don't like it at all. Everything about the TV is great, until there's a gray tone and I can see the worst clouding/banding/whatever-its-called I've ever seen in my life. Screen Uniformity on this TV is absolutely awful and it makes me disappointed on it, considering everything else is great imo.
I can't return it, so I'll live with it I Guess. Next time I'm going High End as fuck, no matter the cost.
Saw slick deals has 55 p series Vizio for 900 with 400 dollar gift card. Steal i think.

Best Buy has the LG OLED C7 up on their site, shipping March 9th for those interested.
55 inch - $3500: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-55-c...-dynamic-range-silver/5763400.p?skuId=5763400
65 inch - $5000: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-65-c...-dynamic-range-silver/5763359.p?skuId=5763359
Amazon also has the C7 listed (currently unavailable), but at $2500 for the 55 inch: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZF7WCT/?tag=neogaf0e-20
It will be interesting to see where the B7 lines up at. This seems like a pretty big premium over the 6 series, for what many consider to be an incremental upgrade. If you can wait, it's probably recommended to wait.

I wonder if the Sony UHD BD player will support DV? They're supporting it on their TVs, so an update must be coming to this too, no?
I'd buy it at $299 if they confirm DV support.
whelp, definitely going for a B6 then. I was hoping to see a price reduction on the 2017 line.
Alright, ordered the 65" C6 just now for $2600 shipped.
After doing a price protection claim that should come down to $2100 total. Plus I've sold my old set for $600.
I can live with that even if prices drop a little more, I just "needed" the TV now.
I keep seeing this comment. Comparing the recommended launch price of the 2017 lineup to the current price of last years model is just stupid imho. According to my quick google research the 2016 recommended launch price was about $1000 higher on the 65" model.
This is effectively a price reduction.
ClevelandAV?
So I bought my B6 with the citi double cashback credit card, which has price rewind. I was wondering, adorama on ebay had a sale on the B6, would Citi bank consider the ebay price for the price rewind? It is adorama, though on ebay, or does it only work on stores like Best Buy, Sears, etc?

Yup.
Home Theater Geeks - Episode 341: Inside Sony Technology
Just saw this recent addition in my feed. Thought it was a pretty good summary of where televisions are heading if anyone else is curious like new developments by CalMAN to measure color volume and its significance and Object-Based HDR Remastering.
Too bad I need to reserve more time to finish listening to it.
Where did you buy yours from? And how much?
Just use one of the shady online retailers for price protection. I'll link to a couple if you let me know.
I read on Slickdeals that Citi will price protect buy it now purchases. YMMV though.
And just so you know- all those shady sites recently upped their prices. You have three months though so I'm sure they'll go down again.
Best Buy. Please send me links if you have them.
Ok, thank you very much.

So, if the 2500$ listing turns out to be true, where does that put the C7 against the C6 one year ago?

500How much do you want to spend?
The 55C6 started at 4000 MSRP but dropped to 3000 a couple months later
Much cheaper. I don't think that price is right, but would be good to jump on it if you do want the 2017 model.

You can see the C6 started out kinda high but quickly settled down.
It never went hit 2500 or below until about 3 months later.
Does anyone know how the dlp mitsubishi tvs Are? I just got one

I love these types of posts. Gives me throwbacks and memories of when I got my OLED.Just upgraded from a last year Samsung 7000 to an LG OLED and went through a process of thinking wtf is the point of 4k and HDR to holy shit this is amazing.
You answered own question. You get what you pay for.I bought a cheap tv. Everytime I pan the camera in a game, the picture darkens but goes back to normal when everything is still. Should I take it back?

Vizio D-series. The 1080p version should be $300 or less at 40 inches, and larger sizes aren't much more. Save the rest for a proper HDR 4K TV next year.Anybody?
500
