i really have no sympathy for her.

and i don't say this to start a flame war. it's just that many people including the media are leaving out that fact.
kinda like a person who smokes and then gets lung cancer and dies. they brought it on themselves. hard to have sympathy for that.

I do the same very often when I have to force myself to vomit... how can this trigger a heart attack? I've been doing this for like 12 years actually, it's a strange "condition" I have but I never thought I could kill myself this way?
Any place where I can read real unbiased Schiavo story?

I have more anger toward her parents then I do to him or her. All the time they spent wasting away with appeals and court orders, and what not, they could have spent that time with their daughter and made peace with everything, instead of making the whole damn thing into a media circus.

However IIRC Bulimia Nervosa is a psychological disorder. I have yet to see anything that talks about how the diagnosis came about and if she was being treated for it. Folks suffering from bulimia don't do it because they just think throwing up is fun... it's an actual disorder that requires psychological and medical treatments to resolve.

Would anyone care to elaborate on possible motivations (outside of "love") for why these people went through this? According to stories this thing started with the 1993 malpractice suit. Basically what I'm interested in is where would the money (consorium and trust fund)go if a divorce would have happened and the parent took custody and what would have happened if he had pulled the plug earlier.

I had a aunt that was terminally ill and the only reason why she wasn't revived is because she signed a order for it. You don't know what the patient wanted. The parents doctors had stated that she could improve with therapy. What that even tried? No.
If she is a veggie and can't feel pain, why would it matter if she is kept alive longer to try therapy? There would be no reason to rush pulling her off the tube.
