TFLO for PS2 / PC?

PS2? I laugh

it was supposed to come out for windows though according to some weird press release or something.

at this point they might as well release it on the X2/PS3, but really, it doesn't look all that more demanding than DQVIII or DC2. It could run on the PS2 without a huge graphics hit.

Yeah, I was thinking to myself as soon as I posted it that the lack of a HDD userbase would hurt its chances on PS2. But, you know, stranger things have happened.

Heh, I remember people joking after TFLO was cancelled for Xbox about Level 5 spending MS's cash and releasing the game eventually on PS2 as the ultimate kick in the teeth..

Screw the article the most important news on that page... Fifth Element Ultimate Edition DVD!!!!!

PC and PS2? I can't see it doing too well on either with both WoW and FFXI out there. And by the time it finally comes out, PS3 release will be less then a year away.

They should just wait for XB2 and PS3 release and make it one of the first MMORPG's for the system, IMO.

I would buy XBL for TFLO...not sure if I would get a HDD for the PS2 and I definately wouldn't pay for it monthly

I wonder what Microsoft did to piss them off???
Drop their project in mid development I guess.

I think the cause for Microsof to drop it is becuase they don't believe in MMORPG's on consoles yet or something. I hardly believe they dropped such a promising title because it took some months too long to develop. It happens on many projects.

This article is the biggest load of BS.
The interview with Hino doesn't mention problems with Microsoft or a possible future platform. He just says Level 5 is grateful to all the fans that provided support and that he still believes in the TFLO project.
Sounds like a bad case of Chinese Whispers to me.

Or because they don't want to launch a MMORPG on a system with only a year of life left.

They'd be foolish not to have it on Xbox 2 (even more foolish to sell off the property and have it land on a competitor's system). It was probably the only Xbox game Japan cared about besides DOA.

It's too late in the current console cycle to release another MMORPG. They'd be better off releasing a PC version, then a PS3 or Xenon port later on.
