It's true. Also, people with naturally yellow-ish teeth actually have stronger teeth than people with whiter ones. I suppose it's all the British and Scottish blood in me, but my teeth are naturally yellowish, and I maintain my teeth very well. I don't drink coffee, smoke, and I don't drink dark sodas. There's nothing I can do about it, short of having them bleached.

The idea of straight, white teeth being a must for beauty is a fairly recent one in Asia. Same thing in the UK. In many other people's eyes, North Americans can be overly obsessive about how their teeth look.

If they work, and don't hurt, then there you go.

Why is it that white teeth and yellow butter are considered the norm when yellowish teeth and white butter are their real color?

Funny enough having a little messed up teeth is actually considered cute in asia by asian men. At least that's what I hear from people who moved here recently. But then when they come here everybody is so apalled by their teeth and they find it very embarassing :/

haha.. good teeth are supposed to look like that. That's how natural teeth look like.
Also in Europe and Asia they tend to drink a lot of coffee and tea wich contributes to the yellowness, but they don't harm the actual teeth, especially tea wich has natural flour.

Dude, idols aren't just girls. There are as many idol guys in Japan as there are girls. Same with hostesses and hosts.

As for teeth, I don't mind the yellowness. Be thankful none of them have vampire teeth, which is actually considered cute there.
