Ultima ascendant gonna make it this year?
I guess I'll add it since I don't think they officially delayed it yet. It's a KS with a Nov 2016 date during the campaign. No way it makes 2016.
Outside of Divinity, I think the next Witcher 3 "expansion" has me more excited than anything else on the horizon.
Wait what? I'd be surprised if Mass effect 4 sells half as much as Fallout 4 to be honest.TBA Holiday 2016: Mass Effect: Andromeda
Action RPG, science fiction, shooty bang bang, red, green, blue[WanderingWind] It's a new beginning for a series that captivated a generation of players. We don't know much about the game, save for that it takes place in a new galaxy, with an entirely new protagonist (Likely named Ryder/Rider). We should know more come E3, but suffice it to say, this is likely going to be this year's smash hit, a la Fallout 4. [Durante] How enticing.
First i've seen of Masquerada: Songs and Shadows and that looks right up my alley. The dwarves also looks interesting because you know, dwarves rule. By the way, have we gotten any information regarding Deus ex if it will be hub-based?

SRPG, isometric, hex grid, turn based, Overhype Studios, incredible depth
A dark horse for 2016 GOTY, if you're into strategy RPG's you absolutely need to look into this game. Incredible depth on all systems, great challenge, and the developers really seem to have a solid head on their shoulders. To give an example of the crazy awesome shit this game is doing:
February 2016 Disgaea PC - umm... PC Dev: NISA
15 January 2016 Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen: 120 FPS Edition - PC Dev: Capcom
I'd have added those myself otherwiseCriteria for inclusion: (ii) the first english-language release of the game (no ports)
I'm waiting for that blood and wine expansion. hearts of stone quality is unbelievable.
I'd never heard of The Dwarves before. That looks interesting.
I'd have added those myself otherwise
That's a really weird rule.
I mean, Dragons Dogma being playable for the first time warrants a note at the very least.

Horizon: Zero Dawn isn't going to survive on this list past E3, when they reveal that it's just another open world crafting-action-survival-sandbox game with progression mechanics (which are completely distinct from RPG mechanics).
I did the same exact same thing. I kept telling myself I'd play it when the EE came out, but I still haven't gotten around to it.I have Kickstarted Divinity II as I did for the first game that I have yet to play.
Because they want to make another Shadow of Mordor. Then you wonder why they hired the lead writer from Fallout:NV and quest designers from CDPr?
Not sure where you're going with this. The game draws inspiration from games like Dragon's Dogma. They're going for an open world Action RPG not a Shadow of Mordor clone.

Don't forget the nep nep GOTY for 2016
April 2016 - PS4
I am actually hoping against hope that Dragonspear will be worthy of the game it expands.
Why would you say that?reading through the list, really just need to drop JRPG as a descriptor. It really means nothing
The former is in the OP, but I've never heard of the latter.Aren't Kingdom Come: Deliverance and For the King also expected to get launched this year?
but I've never heard of the latter.
look at setsunaWhy would you say that?
isometric, party, and turn based are all pretty telling on what you will be playing, JRPG is just there being all vague.JRPG, isometric, party, turn-based, Tokyo RPG Factory
Shouldn't be that hard.
(BGone expansion, isn't it?)
