:lol, the battle for 3rd is going shaping up to be based entirely on who can spend the least time in the garage between the #1 and the #20.

Battles for lead:

P1 gap: 1:30 from Toyota to Audi.
P2 gap: 1:15.
GT Pro gap: 45s from Aston to Ferrari.
GT Am gap: 1 lap. #95 Aston got this.

Well the lead Audi still doesn't sound like its running too great so I have a feeling that its big lead will be short lived.
Just a tire problem.

Unless you mean "sound" literally... the diesel + energy recapture makes some seriously odd noises. Nothing like an internal combustion engine.

That's too bad. Toyota have spent a lot of money at Le Mans over the years and jack to show for it. There's definitely a monkey on their back at this point.

Race direction is so shit at night. Turn the cameras back on or get some dude out there ffs.

I kind of like the change in coverage. Mainly in car, few track side and it's a nice change from the blanket coverage in the day.

Remeber the Peugeot crash a few years ago at night that was caught on a night vision security camera? Too dark for normal camera to show anything.

Dawn is coming! GET HYPED!

Are there sortable standings by class somewhere online? I fail to find it.
Don't know about sortable. There's a mediocre standings list on the le mans site.

I've been using the Le Mans android/iphone app. It has intervals at least

Night coverage has been primarily in car the last 10 or so years, if I recall, you can't see anything from the other cameras.

Thanks, I saw that but seems stupid that class standings are difficult to come by, lol.

The app has a separate column listing class position (which is color coded), so it's passable.

Cool, thanks!

Webbah sighting!

edit, I've been watching for at least 20 minutes now and have yet to see an oversized GAF flag waving :(
edit2, I'm rocking the 787b shirt for the race

It always is a surprise to me just how short the night is here compared to Daytona. Won't be watching til the end since I'm already getting kinda tired but I'll hold on as long as I can (Fox Sports 1 comes back in just over an hour, but the stream on the Le Mans site is really good (720p!))

I feel like this is begging for a diagram of the earth's orbit around the sun. ;p

What I usually do is sleep and wake up for the last hour or so. Would love to watch all night, but I don't have the constitution for that.

As bad as I feel for Toyota coming up short yet again, I'm equally happy to see Audi running strong in a race many, (myself included), didn't expect them to win. Their dominance of the sport has long been established, but somehow every year I'm left in admiration of the depth and breadth of their talents.

Corvettes are a ways back now, but here's hoping that they'll be within striking distance at the end.

Doesn't look good for the #2. Don't think that's going to be a quick repair at all. Never a good sign when everybody's standing around in the pits.

Problems with turbo, it was replaced, but the car doesn't want to start.

Kind of, they faffed around for a while seeing if they needed to replace it, decided they didn't went to wheel it out and it wouldn't start. They then lifted it back in and are currently replacing the turbo.

Ok, thanks for the info.

This slowzone is working very well, in the past we would have been stuck in a 30m safety car procession.

Ignore me, safety car now.
