There is no bright side to this.

At least you're not seeing Godzilla.

I haven't seen Godzilla.

Godzilla takes a huge atomic dump on TASM2.

It's okay because I'm seeing it again with my dad and brother.

at least in ASM2 we aren't subjected to constant teasing. every time the monsters were about to go at it, a door closes, or we have to see the fight play out on a tiny tv. LAME

I liked the build up throughout the film, it's just one of those movies I wouldn't want to watch again. I forgot his name (I think it's Aaron-Taylor Johnson), but he is an incredibly boring lead. The only time I've found him remotely entertaining are the kickass movies.

I'd rather watch Garfield and Stone carry a bad movie.

I thought Godzilla was ok. No where close to matching the GAF hype though.

GAF was hyped before it came out and then the first day and since then it has been a string of people voicing their disappointment in the movie. No way is the "GAF Hype" in the positive for that movie.

I liked ASM2 better, because while Godzilla was a better movie, it was boring and ASM2 was a terrible movie that was hilarious to watch.

Godzilla didn't bother me with the teasing, if anything I thought it was funny and made the finale worth it.

Or the hate.
Few things do.

DOFP exceeded it, though. :D
I was thinking about DOFP while I was watching this movie again. I should see it for a third time to wash away the Spidey.
Spidey could've taken lessons in whiplash from Quicksilver.
That's messed up.

It really bugs me that the only significant thing the movies had going for it (chemistry between the two leads since they're an actual couple even though the script didn't do them many favors) is going to be gone now in the sequel simply because they had to live up to fan expectations and have Gwen do just about the only thing memorable she ever amounted to.

I don't think I have much reason to see the next one since it's clear they just want to turn these into supervillain smackdowns as quickly as possible.

"Peter, when spider man said no, you meant you said no!"

Clearly we wouldn't have understood Goblin found out he was Spider Man unless they told us.

Now that I think about it, Gwen's family are asses too. She goes to London and they don't go with her to the airport? lol

Also, you can tell the movie was in desperate need of tension when they set the timer for the plane crash.

The planes were so unccessary I agree and that line kinda sums up why Sony needs to get better writers. It'll be hillarious when Sinister Six hits and it's a well written movie and then ASM3 follows and it's back to the terrible writing. I hope Sony will get someone better on board to write the script. The story is good, the leads carry the movie, the direction is also good but damn it the writing disappoints.

Still I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than many other superhero movies and everytime Spiderman is on screen the movie really hits its stride.

The one thing I can't get over is how damn good the Spider-man costume is in this movie. Its amazing, and its about time they did the big white eyes in a Spider-man movie.

I just re-watched Amazing Spider-Man and that costume is just terrible in comparison (as is the Raimi costume). I do wish they would have used more of the score from ASM in ASM2 though. Its really a great theme.

The plane thing was dumb and an obvious attempt at adding some sort of tension.

I choose to think of it as something to have Gwen actually play a part in saving people so that the end is that much more tragic.

Eh, reaching, I know.

Just watched this.

What a dull, foot-dragging affair. I should have spent money on watching paint dry instead rather than deal with Andrew Garfield's shitty comedic delivery, some of the worst film tropes spread abound and waiting a minor "forever" to see some more action.

Never again, Andrew Spider-Man. You piece of shit.
