Think that's going to put a dent in the OnlyFans market? Thicc...

Like wtf people, I lost 20lbs and gained a lot of muscle during this. What the hell is everyone’s excuse!? Like I feel like you’d have to really try to gain weight during this to do it. Home cooked meals, extra non-commute time, more sleeping time. What the hell people

Less work stay home more eat, pretty simple.

And I assume people are getting more and more reliant on takeout/uber eats.

Yeah, I gained 5 pounds. Trying to take it off at the moment. I think it was because I gorged on food and sort of stuffed myself, rather than stopped earlier. And sometimes I also eat when "it's time" and not because I'm hungry. I'm reversing these habits now and doing OMAD. I'll drop the weight fast, no problem.

I don't think it has anything to do with the pandemic, though. I just got it in my head that I was like a lion on the savannah, and I could gorge and stuff mah belly, then take a nap. Turns out, I'm not really a lion on the savannah. For example, I sometimes walk at a brisk pace but rarely run after my dinner and kill it. I also spend more time on the internet and watching Youtube than most lions.

I’ve lost around 15 pounds since last March, simply biking and jumping rope (with a short run here and there). I was around 149 when I started and I now float around 134 ish.

Yup.

Lazy ass excuses always come down to "no time, working too much, by the time I get home I'm too tired, can't exercise in the morning because I got to get ready and go to work, too much time getting kids ready to school and soccer practice".

Tons of people were unemployed or work from home giving them a full year to exercise. Kids were often stuck at home. Yet many people still gained weight and I bet still didn't exercise once all year.

I think I gained a couple pounds, but I'm more worried that I lost muscle weight. Pants still fit pretty well and nothing is really too small - but my stamina seems to be much lower.
Gotta hit the floor soon.... I'm supposed to go for a hiking this weekend, but honestly I'm little nervous of running out of juice quickly.

Gyms have been shut down and just opened up at reduced capacity last week here in Commiefornia.

This

I'm always in pretty decent shape all year round due to working in the fitness world, but hell, during both harder quarantine periods (march /may 2020, november 2020 > now) my fitness levels skyrocketed, probably now in the best shape of my life

Tons of sleep, rest, less stress due to more relaxed daily schedules, I basically had all the time to carefully plan my training, split my training into two daily home sessions, my meals etc., work ( as a pt only, for now, due to closed gyms, so less hours) and take care of my hobbies
In normal times I do all these things but quality drops, being all day long around doing lessons, working as a weight room assistant, etc and sleeping half the healthy amount, and having a pretty poor rest

I suppose is not so easy for everyone, but absolutely far from impossible to improve, after a certain limit excuses come into play

Main problem is, many people I know use to gorge on homemade food, they have no sense of measure so it's easy to spill out

Plus, it's really fantastic to be able to do all your stuff and Don't even bother going out for a second, during winter at least, today is the 10th consecutive day of flooding rain here, and doing wake up > satisfacting workout > shower >. Breakfast > online work > sofa > lunch > sofa and chatting with friends > more sofa and TV series while outside it's raining cats and dogs is something i'd sign to do everyday lol

I'm technically a milleniel (born in 1982), and I've gained 25 pounds during COVID. I've struggled with weight for years and the first 8 or 9 months of COVID sent me into an emotional tailspin. I ended up having to get medicated and get on anti-depressents/anti-anxiety medication. I ate to cope with my feelings to be quite blunt. I exercise regularly too so had I not exercised I'm sure my weight gain would be a lot more.

I'm starting to turn it around though. Actually have some chicken in the oven right now and will cook up some broccoli to go with it. COVID has been a really struggle for my mental health which impacted my physical health. But the one thing about COVID is it has really been a wake up call for what I should be doing to take care of myself physically. Lots of health problems can be avoided by just eating better.

Not everyone works from home. Lots of people got fired. Gyms closed for months. People are explicitly told to stay home as much as possible, and lots of people don't have home gyms. Depression, drinking, and addiction all rose during the pandemic.

I'm happy for your success, but when you see headline talk about broad societal trends instead of individuals, it's just smarter to look at broad societal causes. 40% of all millennials didn't all suddenly decide to be lazy at the exact same time.

Millennial age bracket gaining the most probably just because they happen to have the most disposable income left for things like junk food. When people stay home it's just human nature to become more lazy, not more active.

But yeah the depression issue is real. Not a good combo with job loss.

I mean I probably gained like 10 lbs but it’s because I’m working out every day. Honestly COVID made me want to work out even more.

The gains are real boys! Saw one my friends for the first time in months and he was like WTF did you do?!?!

Millenial reporting in. I gained a little weight for sure but not 40 lbs! I was hovering around 170 before this started and now I'm mid-high 170s.

An average of 40lbs? wtf haha

Too much eating, not enough moving I'm guessing lol.

If anything I've lost some weight during the shutdowns. Unfortunately a bit of muscle as well. Been gradually climbing back to where I left off and aiming to be in even better shape than before.

As someone who has battled weight issues all his life I'm fucking glad I bucked the trend and continued to workout during all these lockdowns I feel physically and mentally stronger coming out of these lockdowns. My son and wife have put weight on and I got worried about it so I brought my wife Ring fit and got my son come do some running and weights with me, they did it for a couple of weeks now they have both stopped 😫

You can't force people to get more active they have to win the fight in their heads before the body changes.
