dragon's lair 2 (c64) is really good.

dunno if i'd put it at the top of my list, but i'm listening to it for the first time in over 10 years. it's especially amazing when you take into account how lousy the music for the first game was. rob hubbard fucking rocks.

P.N.03 (very atmospheric... captures the futuristic feel well)
Majora's Mask (the best of OOTs music with stunning new tracks)
GiFTPiA (unique blend of styles all done very well)
Katamari Damacy (quirky jpop... catchy)
PSO Ep. III (SEGA's best music. Very atmospheric and enthralling)
Mario 64 (Kondo's best mario music... dire, dire docks is wonderful)

These are the games that have songs on my "best game music of all time" list anyway. Some, like Xenosaga, Gods or Bubble Bobble, only have one or two great songs. In the case of Bubble Bobble, I'm not even sure if it has more than two songs anyway :)

Super Metroid. All else is sloppy seconds.

But yeah there's also FF6, Secret of Mana, Katamari, Metroid -prime fusion echoes etc, Chrono Trigger, Rez, Tempest 2000, ZAMN, Castlevania SOTN, Beyond Good & Evil, and more.

As much as I like the game, I don't think OoT really belongs in this list.

The Hyrule Symphony Orchestrations elevate the Zelda soundtrack to epic heights, and really make it some of the best music in gaming, period.
