I think for me the three best looking games on console up to this point:

-RE4 Remake



-Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2



-Kingdom Come Deliverance 2



I personally don't think Hellblade 2, which doesn't even hit the criteria of being a video game, looks better than the stuff above. To each his own though.

On PS5 pro especially all 3 of the above just shine!

A close 4th place goes to AC Shadows too for the weather and wind but it lacks in other departments.

Claiming its not a video game is just ridiculous. Visual novels are video games. Management sims are video games. It's literally an action game with light puzzles. It just has very high animation priority. People just literally lying.

RE4R has last gen assets but it sure looks totally amazing on 4K HDR displays.

I'd say also that Dead Space Remake is kinda under the radar but also looks (and sounds) drop dead gorgeous in HDR. The volumetrics lights are absolutely crazy

Demon's Souls remake on the pro.

When I got the pro I checked out every pro compat game within reason and to my eye and others this was by far the most impressive.

The first area where you are walking up the entrance to the burning castle, if you look up at the castle at that part it is eye watering and awe inspiring on pro.

The game looked incredible on base PS5 but the Pro patch on this one is insane. I recommend anyone with a pro to try Demon's Souls again(just the first bit).

Hellblade 2 is the Order 1886 of past gen, i think that both games are unbeatables in the graphic side.

HFW probably, but the one that impressed me most while playing is Demon's Souls. Bluepoint having wasted 5 years doing gaas instead of releasing more singleplayer stuff on their engine is an insult to humanity.

There are few candidates, but this gen's The Order1886 is definitely Hellblade 2.
Ofc in the end it means nothing coz ppl will only remember one game from this gen even in 50 years, the benchmark for graphics fidelity, which obviously is:

Wow. Admirable. I tried to replay it after finished just for the side missions and for the fuck sake if the stealth sessions were annoying. What exactly is it supposed to be funny for Kojima; I don't get it.

Sure, some scenes look bad but most of the game looks stunning and some cutscenes look like cgi

The interiors look absolute garbage, genuinely ps3 level. The lightning, textures and materials are sooo poor in the interiors, it genuinely looks unfinished.

I agree Hellblade II looks (and sounds) amazing, although it's not a good game. But I love how ReMake 4 looks. It's an amazing game too. The Gamecube original has aged quite a bit, of course, but gosh they nailed everything in the remake. One of the best games ever.
