CCG's are pocket burners, consider yourself lucky almost. I've been debating going back to Hearthstone because I probably can't afford to keep up Magic after this year, at least not a tourney ready deck. Cards aren't cheap. Did they mention what the changes are, or is it a mystery? If they address my problems, or at least balance, then I'll be all over it again.
They're splitting up the game into "Standard" and "Wild" types of play. "Wild" is what the game is now. "Standard" is supposed to be more easily balanced for tournaments and such, using only basic/classic cards and any card sets from the last two calendar years. So in Standard mode, you can't use any cards from Curse of Naxxramas or Goblins vs Gnomes, because those sets are being retired. Also they've been announcing new cards over the last few days, and from what I understand they should be talking about some card nerfs soon.
