So last night i had to attend her family party. While entertaining and shooting the shit with some of her guests she makes some slick remarks about me playing video games and spending money on gaming stuff. One of the other fellas and his girl had my back but this was the first time she has ever come out her face about my gaming habits.
So today I commented on how I didn't know she felt like that and if this was really a problem for her because these things are important to me. Mind you she never once during the conversation at the party back track and say something like "oh no I'm kidding I actually think it's cute."

So now it's "what kind of person do you think I am? I always enjoy your video games and things like that. Why would you think I'd lie to you"

Super extra shit..
and she storms out..

So now I'm eating cup o noodles thinking about how I should keep my feelings to myself

So glad I found another and better job so I can stop going to these black entrepreneurship meetings. They go over an hour every time and the respectability politics they utter irks me. Today they had an inauguration for their new president and he said police are killing you because they don't respect you. Another one of them said y'all are quick to call out racism when a white man kills another black person, but don't care when your own people get killed by each other in your own communities. Something like that pops up by those same two people every other week.

Young people rarely go to these things and it doesn't surprise me since they're so long, don't really talk about anything in particular, and criticize our actions and preach to us.

Actual business people. I actually sit with a millionaire each meeting who has made television and film appearances in the past. There's probably at least a couple people in this thread who know of his products.

I feel you dude. It's a common thing I've both seen and experienced where people tend to make guys feel that they should bottle that shit up, especially if it's the little things. Dealt with something similar awhile ago with a friend that stuck with me and made it really dawn on me.

I don't think that's the case. And, I don't want to put it on you, 'cause this goes for both sides. But how you frame what you're saying is usually why things end up that way? Like even if it seems entirely innocent on your end, she got defensive for a reason. Or maybe it's just a personal thing on her, but.

Sounds like what I have to deal with whenever I go home from school for the holidays. Got into it a bit with my dad about that this past Thanksgiving.

I don't understand the logic behind telling the oppressed they're oppressed because they don't think highly of themselves. That doesn't even make sense.

Yeah, the man even said some of the dumbest shit before, "If a white man came somewhere and shot 9 black people y'all would blame it on Trump's racism, but y'all aren't aware that y'all are killing yourselves." Then he said something about "They try to make the argument that you're likely to be a victim of crime by someone who looks like you" and basically rejected that. That first part is incredibly dumb considering how they news media disproportionately displays black crime and the other is just ....

I'm just glad I don't have much of a reason to go anymore. I want to own a business myself, but considering I want to have a game publishing company and 95% of the people that go are 50 +, and all the conversations are about why we need more black owned businesses instead of telling those who want one how to start one, I see little reason to keep going. Those meeting feel more like church than meetings too and one of their personal assistants straight up told me that tonight when she offered me to go to one that starts on Sundays. "Don't worry about missing church, because we'll have that there."

You know why she's historically the most well known female hero?

I actually see more people defending the un's decision than defending wonder woman in that thread. Even as a comic guy I don't want too say too much on without sounding out of my depth, but Ill just say this by the very logic that petition used, than Rocket Racoon and Groot should be removed as this year's honorary Nasa Mascots.


That and I defer to what current wonder woman artist Nicola Scott wrote on her Facebook about the matter,
